Well when I told some people I wanted to join the Marines but I also wants to check out other branches, some of them flipped when I mention I want to consider the Airforce and some of them laughed and say: "The airforce is for women" or "Its full of Pedophiles and molesters, check out their academy in Wikipedia" it just kinda insulting since my dad used to be an Airman, and when I say I want to join the Army they say its all "Sissy" and "easy" and say they are weak, I even found this list of stereotype:
Size of Balls according to branches
Marines: Bowling balls
Navy: Basketballs/Volleyballs
Army: Tennis Balls
Airforce: Golf balls
They are kinda suggesting that the Airforce is weak and the Marines have 3 MREs a day and the AF have 3 hot meals prepared by Emeril Lagasse, I mean its good you love your branch and all but could you really determine who is "The best" I am not Biased since I have relatives in ALL of the 4 branches My uncle used to be a Marine....Continued

and he transfered to the AF and said that in the AF they are treated like humans and in the Marines they treat you like dogs, which leaves me to another question why does the AF seems to be more relaxed at some point, and they say AF is safer

The Air Force is the thinking persons service. There are more technical jobs. It takes all kinds of people to make up the different branches. It all just depends on what you want out of it. My job was important to all branches when I served. I got a lucrative civilian career out of my time in service in the Air Force. So I really could care less what people think. Do what you feel is right for you.

You are not familar with Hank Williams Jr and his music. His version goes "If i get stoned and sing all night long it's a fammleee tradition"

The Army picks on the Airforce, the Navy tolerates the Marines and picks on the Army, the Marines pick on everybody. The Air Force is wise to not piss off anyone.
Join whichever club you want then you can pick on the other guy's "Cuz it's a fammleee traditionnnn"

The Marines are unique. They are an expedition force. The Army is an occupation force. The Navy and Air Force are support. Each have elite units. Each are geared for different things. None are safe. I was Air Force K-9. I have a bullet in my arm. My father was an Air Force Combat Controller with two Purple Hearts. My son is a Marine that's been to Iraq.

Sweetpea's answer makes a lot of sense. Another aspect that comes into it is that in the Army and Marines, the enlisted do the fighting. In the AF, mostly the officers do (from 10000 feet high).

Well those are exaggerations, of course, but they're based in truth. The physical requirements are a lot tougher in the Marines than they are in the Army and Navy, and they're tougher in the Army and Navy than they are in the Air Force.

It builds moral. It can be good fun or if you get the wrong ignorant people (regardless of the branch) it can get ugly.

I will say this. You are talking to recruiters. And recruiters (once they become recruiters) are very low people that will do anything for a sale.
A recruiter has a quota to make and you are sitting in their office. They want very badly to get you to sign to their branch with their name next to yours. Its their job.

The fact is... every branch is very important. You need to find out what you want to do and pick one. Pick what you want. There will be bias regardless.

the mission of the Air Force is not the same as the mission of the Marine Corps..if the Air Force had trained me and I went through what i went through in the Marines then i would be very dead right about now...different services, different missions, different lifestyles, its that simple

AF is like the boy scouts. When crap hits the fan its the Marines that are called in. So its a question if you want to make a diiference or just be an airman...I mean boy scout.
