I was in a grumpy mood. I had a bad day at work, on my drive home I got cut off several times in traffic, i was starving as I hadn't eaten all day, and as I was going to park in my apartment complex a family was driving extremely slow in front of me. They moved off to the left and just sat there for awhile. I assumed they were waiting on someone. I attempted to drive by, but they honked. So, I stopped. Then they turned on their blinker, but still sat there. So, I went ahead and drove on by quickly as it didn't seem they knew what the hell they were doing. I got out of my car and they parked a few spots over. A guy about my age and his parents got out. The father said something to me, but I couldn't hear what he said. I asked and his son said you need to slow it down, punk. Already not feeling good and naturally sarcastic, I told him who are you calling punk, chief? He started walking toward me, but his mom said no, and started yelling at me, telling me I was a jerk. I just went inside.

You know what, I have had these types of situations on the road plenty of times, sometimes I just wanna get the hell home. And the other car is moving in super slow mo.......
Yes and you don't know what they are doing so I would have attempted to go around them also, seeing that they wanna take there time and look for a parking spot.

You did nothing wrong, they were complete jerks and had no empathy for the car behind them. Just relax, let it go and take a hot shower.

I hope you have a better day tomorrow.!!!!

Look, I don't think you had intentions of being nasty or impolite to anyone. The guy pulled to the left and just sat there; you honked to wake him up and get him to make a decision and then you passed. Maybe you drove a little quicker because you were annoyed but, so what. The guy was rude. You didn't get in an altercation; the guy made the comment and you answered him back; then the guy who started it all starts looking like he wants to start a fight but you want no part of it and go inside while the mother continues yelling. You did the right thing by ending it all. Forget about it and have a nice meal.

You were wrong. If someone went out of their way to accuse you of driving too fast, I'd be willing to bet $100 YOU WERE! If you can't handle the pressure and aggravation of driving on the road with other drivers, take the bus. It's no one elses fault that you had a bad day. A hot head in an automobile can kill.

Whatever you "might" have done wrong in your driving, you did the right thing by walking away and not continuing an argument or getting into a fight. A good lesson is that to go all day without eating, is setting yourself up for a bad afternoon or evening. We all do it, too busy, too much coffee, and then PROBLEMS.

ha. not being serious, but you should've been in an even angrier mood. you should've honked when they were driving under the speed limit, and honked again when they stopped you. i mean, i know this is a weird metaphor, but if you're hiking in the woods, and a boulder is in you're path, you're not gonna wait for nature to grind it down!

Doesn't sound like you did anything unreasonable...kudos, as a matter of fact, for not going over and knocking out the old guys dentures for yelling something at you in the first place! : )

I don't see what you did wrong. Why did they not want you to pass them? They must have had a bad day too.

Sounds to me like they were just being stupid. You can't block people from going around if you're stopped.

Take a deep breath and let it go.

If you see them again, just go on and be nice.

Hope you have a better evening.
