If there are no physical reasons for you to stay awake night after night, and you can only sleep when you are exhausted, and then only fitfully! What is going on in your head, that causes the insomnia!
There are no worries, except everyday usuals, and you just can not sleep!
I get up and read, I watch tv, I get on the computer, and I play a video game! While I do these things, I get sleepy! But, I go to bed? I just lay there!
Help

Me too, cant help sorry, maybe you need interaction of some kind..any kind...a soothing massage perhaps or a soft voice acknowledging your efforts.... (what do you mean, some hopes...)

The sandman is bashing my brains out right now but for some reason I have the urge to keep answering Q's on here and keeping the community company....have been up since 6.30 and really I should be in bobo land...ahhh well, see you there later....

Cut out the caffiene and you'll probably sleep better. Take a warm bath about 2 hours before bed. Drink some chamomile tea. Play some soft soothing music in your room at night. Or see a doctor and get some Ambien or Lunestra.

Try exercising each day so you become physically tired. Exercise at least 4 hours before you plan to go to bed.

Eliminate caffeine from your diet.

Just before bed, drink a warm drink - tea or hot chocolate.

When you go to bed, listen to a relaxing CD - either relaxing music or meditation.

If you continue to suffer from insomnia, see your doctor.

I have the same problem. If you get sleepy by watching TV. Here is a tip. Put your bedding on the couch. Make the couch as you would your bed. Put on the most boring channel you can think of (for me its gotta be the history channel) and force yourself to watch it. I do that, and it helps because you aren't "waking" yourself up to go all the way to your room. Try it and see if it works.

try taking you a warm bubble bath in the candlelight to unwind, then lay down with a boring book and read until you fall asleep. i hope this helps, my poor daughter has the same problem, it doesn't matter what time she gets up or how active she is, she still has trouble sleeping.

“exactly what I need…the memory foam air mattress that I got, really helped my sleeping problems which included pains in the upper back and constant tossing and turning at night…in no time I will fall a sleep, don’t have to struggle to make myself sleep…I’m thinking it’s the memory foam but the air mattress gives it the extra edge of comfort…I’m like floating in the air sleeping in the clouds…brilliant simply brilliant…”
