Ask him what he wants his name to be. Then, when a name comes into your mind--and if it feels good and right--you will know he chose that name.

I have three orange cats! A Persian Mix, A Bobcat Mix and a Tabby mix. I think the name has to relate to the personality. My 2 boys are Ringo (mellow) and Rascal (he's the Bobcat) and my girl is Princess Roxanne (yeah, she's the Persian). How about "Marmalade", sweet, warm, special and wonderful?

I used to have an orange cat I called Jack (short for Jack o' Lantern) or you could call him Pumpkin. :-) Or, I used to know a guy who adopted two male kittens and named them Mike and Steve (if you want to be weird.) Give that baby lots of love!

I've had a couple of ginger cats.
You could name him Peanut, Megs (after the cartoon strip "Ginger Megs", Pumkin, Butternut, Taffy...
You could also try looking for other pet names on this site I found for you www.petnamesworld.com

to be unoriginal = Garfield
to be semi original = Pumpkin
to be computer geeky = 0101100 (that binary for those who wont understand that one)
to be silly = use your first name as the cats name
or come up with a name of your own
