I've have been asking about losing weight on my thighs and butt. Everyone keeps on saying-lunges and squats!! Those won't make my legs and butt bulk up right? I understand the muscle toning will be better, but i want lean, long muscles, not bulky guy ones. My goal is to lose a pant size, these will help right?! Thanks for all the help!!

No, lunges and squats will not make you bulk up unless you are using oodles of weight resistance. Even then, if you are female, it would take a long time! Women's muscles do not tend to bulk up as easily as men's muscles. You are safe doing your lunges and squats...they will just define your muscles and make them firm.

Please note, you cannot "spot" reduce. You have to exercise and reduce your entire body since it is impossible to lose weight in just one area.

Cardio exercise (running, jogging, walking, biking, swimming, etc.) will be the best way to slim your entire body and your thighs. Then to tone the thighs, add lunges and squats.
