Serious.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them. More details here:

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.

Lots of numerical scientific data proving it real here:

It isn't a threat to the planet, it is a threat to the ecosystem. Basically the skin on the apple; the part of the planet where we live. The ecosystem is that part of the planet that supports life. That is what is being threatened by climate change.

GW has happened before lots of times and we were not around to cause or stop it.
Remember scholars, monks and historians have recorded these fluctuations in the weather patterns.
Things will change and then go back.
Nothing to get shook about.

It's just like cigarettes. Two thirds of the people who smoke don't die from it, but the other one third do. Likewise, people in richer countries like the US and Japan will be able to adapt, but people in poor countries could face widespread casualties.

How would you know that there was a problem if you didn't hear about one in the news?

Pretty serious.
We'll deal with it when it becomes a critical issue and impacts our governments personal agenda. Until then let the sea level rise until I have beach front property.
