If you define "fanaticism" as a blind following of something, without reason, without proper motivation, then NO, it cannot be good to be a fanatic, because it is a form of obsession. In that sense, it is a lie, and whatever cause or person or thing you are a fanatic about is leading you away from Truth.

However, if you define "fanaticism" more as "zealousness," or "passion," than it can be a good thing, but only under the condition that your "fanaticism" is directed toward the Living God. Jesus Christ and the Father are the only things we can legitimately and truely be zealous about, because they alone are Eternal, Creators of Heaven and Earth, and love us. Anything that isn't for Christ, is against Christ. So zealousness should be reserved for Him.

Even in this "true fanaticism" , however, we need to remember the biblical exhortations to Love, Compassion, and Understanding before all things. The bible says that without love, all of our Faith is like a resounding gong -- empty noise to the unbeliever. So even if we are impassioned for God, we need to be slow to speak, quick to listen, slow to anger, etc. Love must temper all zealotry or fanaticism.

8-I'm fanatic about how much I love my son so I plead guilty on this one.
I think numbers 1 to 7 are artificial differences people use to hate each other. We are all citizens of earth and should focus on that rather than differences.
