There is only one certainty in life, and that is death.

You have every right to be afraid, I am afraid of death myself, the going into the unknown.

No one knows about what happens to us after we die, and my thoughts are very much with you in this subject, as I have just lost my father, aged 84.

He was a great person, who helped others all his life, and I hope his soul or whatever, has moved on to better things. But we will never know.

The body we possess during our earthly life dies, but we must move on, in spirit, after death of this body.

I take some comfort in the fact, nobody has died, and come back to tell us the life after death is bad, it must be far better than we have now, although we should know about it.

May be wrong, as I have not died yet, but keep the belief that there is something better waiting for us.

Be not afraid, as God will forgive all sinners who seek forgiveness

Just to be on the safe side, I try not to commit a sin, but pray for forgiveness every now and then, just in case I stray from the strait and narrow, that, I admit, I sometimes do. God forgive me.

Hope this helps you.

That's the only thing I'm truly afraid of also but by having the fear of God is a good thing & I believe this will count for us for having a deep faith in the creator!. Try to do what you feel is best in life something that your soul feels pleased about just carry on being a good decent fair person & enjoy the life here we have been given don't stress about it to much but look into religions & try to find your calling x.

I have absolute assurance of eternal security. This makes me exempt to the second death. I will never face the Great White Throne Judgment.

Let me comment on an earlier answer here, in that if you try to be the best person you can be, you may find that you were not good enough when your standards of good and bad are compared against God's standards. Then what?

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
- Phil 3:9

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
- Rev 20:15

Is your name in the book of life? Yes or no?

I am not afraid of death. I have lived an exceptional life so far. I am proud about the spiritual evolution I have lived. I know there is no life after death.
I do not feel good about a few bad things I have done, or that came my way. Some I could have handled better.

I am afraid of not being able to care for myself anymore, I am afraid of decay and of pain. I feel sorry for the grief my death will cause to those I leave behind. Maybe they will see a few things in my life that will help them to overcome their grief.

Have a nice day everybody.

I'm not afraid of death, in fact I never ever think about my own death, am I mad? I just don't think about it, I guess that I wrongly think that I'm going to live forever...
But yes, I'm afraid for what's going to happen after I'm death I mean heaven or hell? Reincarnation? Will I turn into a lost soul in a weird dimension or does life just end like the life of a flower? I mean there are so many theories about life after death! I'd really like to know what's going to happen...

I've known really down to earth God fearing people who had a relationship with God and couldn't wait to die to live with God.
Thats the kind of relationship I want with my Father, solid.
I am a born again Christian and have a relationship with God the Father, but I want it to be better. I'm not afraid of death because I will go to heaven without a shadaw of doubt. I'm not looking forward standing before Him to be judged though.

Hi.
I'm not afraid of anything I've come across yet but Christ I hope there's nothing after this, once is enough thank you, being afraid doesn't help with anything it just hinders and if there is a God and I get to meet him, he's going to get one hell of a b.o.l.l.o.c.k.i.n.g, if God was a politician would you vote for him again and how many languages can one God understand?.
Ray. West York's.U.K.
P.S. Watch for the thumbs down from the meek but then again he's already promised them the earth, I for one don't want to live in a world full of submissive's.

Actually we are not afraid of death because death will surely come anyway ( we can't live forever ). What we are afraid of is the life after death - what will happened to us? I assume you believe that we will be judge by what we act. It is unfair for the rapers who exempt from execution in this world to be let free. There must be a compulsory judgement for them, right?

"...Then to Him you will return, whereupon He will let you know what you have been doing (6:60)"

As what others have answered, good deeds guarantee a good life after death. For me we must do good things so that it can be our witness in the life after death that we are a good person. But Allah has already told us since the creation of man that only if you belief in one God you will be save from the Hellfire.

"Those who say 'Allah is our Lord' and remain steadfast, upon them descend angels (and say): 'Do not fear nor grieve, and receive good tidings of Paradise which you were promised" (41:30)

Jesus said, "the truth will set you free" John 8 v 32

This is just the sort of fear he was talking about, false doctrines. If you read the bible for yourself then you will know that there is nothing to be afraid of.
