I've met up with 2 people that I met online. One of them completely freaked me out when I met him the other one was a wonderful surprise. We dated for about a year and a half and I have great memories of him. Just be sure that your completely comfortable meeting him and let someone know where you'll be when you do. Also-keep a cell phone with you in case you need to call for help-some folks are crazy

Good luck!

I met the guy I am currently dating after talking to him online first. He was everything I expected and more, but I was also careful about it. I talked to him for a few weeks before actually meeting up with him to make sure that I knew him well enough to feel comfortable meeting. I met him in a public place that we knew would be busy (a popular resturaunt on a Saturday evening). We talked there and it went well to were I felt fine with talking a walk with him. If you're going to meet someone, just be sure that you can trust them and meet them in a place that will enable you to leave if he turns out to be not who he claimed to be.

I met my current boyfriend on a telephone chat line. You always get a visual in your head from how they describe themselves...but they always look different than what you mentally picture. When I met my boyfriend, I really didn't know what to expect, but was very pleased! He is handsome, considerate, (drives me crazy at times) and might I add....GREAT in BED!!!!!!! Just be careful when meeting someone for the first time, meet in a public place. You never know who you are meeting......we met at a public park.

Met on yahoo personals. Started talking on a wednesday, and met that saturday. Got engaged 6 weeks later, moved in at 2 months, and married on our one year anniversary. We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary in June and I've never been happier! When it's right, you just know. And yes, I had dated a bit before him, including a 4-1/2 year long relationship. When you've seen the worst of things, you know what's good!

A friend of mine in London spent two years chatting to this guy for hours. So she finally decided to meet the man in Central London in a cafe.Well it turned out he was in his 40s bald and he lied about his age etc when he was chatting to her for the two years. She told me she was in a state of shock when she met him. The Idea for meeting someone from the Internet give me the creeps
