In the Canoga Park area of LA there are five places of worship within just a few blocks of each other. One such place is a Lutheran Church. Across the street from it is a Hindu Temple. A block to the South is a Unitarian Church and a block over is a Muslin Temple. On the next street over is a Jewish Synagogue. The people who attend these separate congregations don’t look down on the other denominations, don’t protest or ridicule those who don’t share their own beliefs and, in fact, sometimes visit each other as a goodwill gesture.

The reasons why such an environment like this can exist is because none of these religious denominations are fundamentalist, none are filled with fundamentalist nutcases (Christian, Jewish, Muslin or otherwise) who believe only they are right and only they are blessed by God.

Surely God must smile down on these good folks. Don’t you agree?

ONE GOD FITS ALL!

Maybe god has nothing to do with it. Maybe they have just evolved as human beings to the point where they accept each other. Or they figure they can't do anything about the heretic down the road and have adopted a "live and let live" point of view for the moment.

Let's see how they act when the Muslims have members who convert to Judaism, HInduism and Christianity to marry someone of the other faith or vice versa. Then we'll see how much smiling god does.

That would be true only if God thought that all paths are equally valid means of attaining eternal life, unfortunately they aren't.
Don't take my words for it, listen to Jesus Himself, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no comes to the Father except by me." (John 14:6)

Lutherans and Unitarians that would teach a truth contrary to what Jesus Himself has said about the exclusivity of Christians, wouldn't be very good Christians (followers of Christ) now, would they?

The fact that God made such a singular means of salvation is offensive isn't it? That's why the Cross of Jesus Christ is called a stumbling block to unbelievers in the New Testament.

Your argument isn't with me, but rather with a God who says and does exactly what He promised in His Word.

No. There is no god. So for once, the believers aren't murdering each other - open an Atheist Centre down there and see if they are still friendly.

Wait until some big Hindu guy dies and they use the Mosque's parking lot for overflow parking - then you'll see some harmony.
