I try to take Paul's attitude. Only God can say how well I have succeeded or failed:

"What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you."

I know the Lord as well as His grace has allowed me to know Him so far. No more, no less. He has revealed Himself to me supernaturally and naturally, through dreams, scripture, prophecy, physical peace and healing, audibly, through people, and in myriad ways. He has been my Teacher, my Shepherd, and most importantly, my Father. So everything He has revealed to me so far, that is what I know. I don't claim to know anything beyond that, because flesh cannot inherit spirit. My flesh cannot know God - only my Spirit. Thus, it is only the Spirit of God in me that has allowed me to know God, not by some effort on my own part. So I praise God for any knowledge I have of Him. It is not to be taken lightly. Praise God! Those who earnestly desire righteousness and knowledge of God will be filled. Take care and God Bless.

No one knows god. Many think they do, but they are wrong.

If god is as advertised by some of the monotheistic religions, humans cannot even begin to understand the complexity of his/her being or thoughts. We can't even understand his/her physics.
