my niece wants do something and we dont have much money to do a lot. she wants more than just pizza and a movie or a trip to the mall.

take her to the park and spend time talking to her, she will enjoy that more then the mall or the movies. most girls that age need a friend to talk to more than someone to buy her something. she has questions about boys and makeup and female things that she feels she can not talk to her mom about. so take her to the park and be a her friend that day not her aunt. allow her to ask you the questions don't you be the one asking her about those things, allow her to be free that day and the instigator of the conversation

Take her on a train ride. I absolutely love watching the scenery go by. You can even stop in random towns with her and just observe.

it all depends on your location. are you in a city or rural area? larger citys have lots to do on the cheap. check newspaper for opcoming events or festivals. the zoo is also a good choice.
