I believe they do. I also believe most animals dream. Dreams are a brain's way of gathering all thoughts throughout the day and even throughout one's life. Sometimes dreams are nonsensical, sometimes we have visits from ones who have passed, sometimes we have dreams of a future event - they can all be related to our mind's way of dealing with things we have observed. Animals can think and make decisions - therefore showing they have minds. Since they have minds, they will dream, just as we dream.
I have noticed that if one of my dogs appears to be an unpleasant dream (where they are whimpering), I speak to them in a very calm state, gently petting them. They do not wake up, but it seems they immediately grow calmer. I feel this is because my external influences are entering their dreams, calming them. For example, ever hear a radio in your dream, only to awake and hear that same song playing on your alarm? This is because in an REM state of sleep (which is actually a light sleep, not the deep sleep several people mentioned here) our minds try to keep us sleeping. As such, we will incorporate outside stimulii into our dreams - such as music. The same is true for my dogs - they incorporate my comforting words into their dream and calm down, but do not wake up.
And, like others have stated, I have seen my dogs bark softly or wiggle their legs as if they are running, while they sleep, suggesting they are dreaming of running or playing. While it's difficult to have complete proof, the evidence suggests dogs do dream.

Yes they do. But if you want to know how much time do dogs spend dreaming, here's the answer. Small dogs have more dreams than big dogs.
A toy poodle may dream once every ten minutes, and a large mastiff or a Great Dane may dream once once an hour. Even though big dogs have fewer dreams, their dreams last longer.
And young puppies spend more of their sleep time dreaming than adult dogs do.

Yes, the dogs have dream, now I do not recall where I have read this, but I have read, and I have also read that the dogs have awareness of themselves...There are many studies on the dogs and animals in general as those made on monkeys and the results are always amazing!

YES!!! Dogs are very intelligent creature. Any creature that has even the smallest intelligent level with show R.E.M.(Rapid Eye Movement) when sleeping. This means that they have brain activity when asleep. All a dream is is brain activity, when asleep, from you sub-conscious. Dogs have dreams just like humans. My dog had a nightmare once and was shaking really bad and whimpering until we woke him up. At first we thought he was hurt, but he was asleep. We got him from a shelter and he has several scars. We asume he was back his previous owners before we adopted him.

Dogs do, in fact, dream. Many people observe their dogs twitching, moving their legs or making noises while sleeping and this is typically because they are dreaming. In fact, though dogs tend to dream for shorter periods of time than people, they tend to do so with more action. You can see dogs making chewing motions, licking or moving their lips and whiskers while dreaming, moving their feet and legs like they're running, and even making yipping noises.
