I am trying to transfer all of my documents and Music I have on my old computer to my new one. I have Windows XP Home Edition, but I can't run Windows XP Backup because I can't find my Disk that I need for it.So Is there any way I can compress all my files and put them on a CD or A floppy Disk? And Just upload them on my new computer,would it work that way?
P.S.I really don't trust online Backup Especially the ones you have to pay for!

A floppy disk would be way way to small.

Instad select everything (control+a) and right click it then select Send to->zipped folder. If it is under 700MB it would fit on a CD. To put it on a cd right click the zipped file and press Send to->CD Drive. Then go to your cd drive in "My Computer" and then on the left click "Burn these files to CD". Put in a cd and then when you get to your new computer just copy the zipped file over and you will have your files.

You could also copy the files to a zip/flash/thumb drive.

You could buy a transfer cable or some external storage. If you are going to dump the old computer, you might want to go the route of external storage - that way you would have a backup.
