ok so i know most of the details about security forces buut im going national guard first then active and i was wondering the deployment rate as a national guard security forces member because i wouldnt mind gettin deployed. also when you are at war do you get to go out with convoys and stuff and patrol streets get shot at blah blah ya know

For some reason if you are in the National Guard your chances of being deployed are about 10 times higher than if you are in the regular Army.

If the National Guard deployed as often (or more often, as claimed), the local unit would have mobilized two months ago.

National Guardsmen should ask the 101st and 82nd Division
soldiers how many times they have been deployed, as well as the 1st and 2nd Marine Divisions.

You can be deployed at any time. But I got two months notice, before I mobilized.
