DUH!! What part about safety issues did you not know about when you moved into the dorms? The cause of water that may leak out to the floor and then out into the hallways let alone inside the walls and into the other rooms around you would be quite costly. And think of all the ruined electrical lines, phone lines and cables that are in the wall units of each dorm room. This would be a costly mess, caused by you, and I am sure you have not insurance to cover such damages if this took place. With the rising costs of education I am sure the Deans of the school would have no problem suing not only you but your parents for doing such an idiotic idea.
And most "movable" Jacuzzis are slated for outdoor use, not indoor due to the above mentioned problems of water and it's potential for damage.

And just because it wasn't in the "School Manual" does not make it a possibility. I hope to assume that you are a freshman and like I said above...DUH!!!

Would have loved to see pictures on how big it was and if you had any parties before you were shut down!

Three reasons off the top of my head:

First, the water in a jacuzzi weighs more than a floor might be rated to support. A jacuzzi is usually about 250 gallons and water weighs about 8 pounds per gallon. So, you're looking at about 2000 pounds on a relatively small area.

Second, if the jacuzzi leaks, that 250 gallons could cause a lot of damage.

Third, an electric jacuzzi heater takes up a lot of electricity. And, if you're not paying for it, your landlord is. And, probably doesn't want to.
