No, sorry but in school or not 23 is too old to be living with mom & dad. They should have been out 4-5 yrs ago, well at least by 20. Anybody who still lives with there parents at 23 is way behind the curb as far as I'm concerned. Who would want to live with their parents at 23 anyways? I would go nuts.

Yes and no. If you're not making enough money to live on your own, I can see living with your parents at 23. The question is, what are you doing to earn more money so that you can move out? Helping out financially or by doing chores (if you're saving for the big move) should go without question! If you're still furthering your education, then you should be prepared to move out at least 2-3 years after completion, prayerfully. Both of my older children, one male and one female, were married and out of the house by your age. My 3rd oldest is still at home and almost 23 and I think she's going to be around another year or so, but here's hoping. Hope this helps.

It depends on what you do besides reside at your parents home.
If you are 23 and attending college working towards your goals saving money and looking to future success, you are in the right place
However,
If you are 23 and enjoy a life of leisure hanging out with your friends drinking partying and engaging in risky behavior
GET A JOB U BUM
So I believe that your intent is more of whats in question than your age.

You are way to old to be living at home. I am not sure what is going on with the generation these days..Use to be at the age of 18 you already had a job, was going to college, and lived on your own. Your parents have raised you and now it is their turn to have a little fun......move on...When a girl wants to date she knows it's a bad sign when the man is still living at home.

i have a friend that is 23 and still living with her parents. After that it is probably getting to be a bit old to live with the folks. Being on your own at first can be scary, but it is so liberating! No accounting for why you're home late, why your room is messy, and you can eat whatever you want....

As long as you have your own job, go to college (unless you work full-time), and pay part of the bills... then I don't see why it would be a problem. It's good to live at home if you can to save up for when you move out.
Heck, in a lot of culture, kids stay with their parents until they get married. And once they get married and their parents get old, their parents come to live with them!! lol =p
Enjoy it while you can!
Cheers!

No - I would be wary of anyone more than a year or two out of high school still living with parents. Even if my kids go to college in town, I want them to move to the dorms or an apartment. It may be difficult but that what roommates are for. If nothing else, roommates serve as an incentive to do better so you can someday afford your own place.

23 is a young age...however, at this age I also expect you to be more responsible and independent. You can't always rely on parents. You have to learn to grow up and what better time to start, but now?

At 23, a person should be working and be on their own.
