Got news for you Richie. The reserves of oil in Iran are beginning to run out.

Why do you think Iran is trying to be the "big bully" in the neighborhood? They gaze with monetary lust on Iraq, which by the way, has the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world.

Besides all the other Islamic countries in the region have a burning hatred for Iran. Why? Because, almost without exception, all other nations in the regions are of Arabic heritage while Iranians are Persian. Don't let the front they put up fool you, they HATE Iran.

So.....whacking Iran wouldn't lower the price of a barrel of oil at all.

Coragryph, though what you say is true about where our oil comes from, the markets would probably react badly to any military conflict with Iran. I think we'd see a heavy spike. If the US and Suadi can keep the Persian Gulf open with no tankers getting lost, prices would lower after a few weeks, but all Iran has to do is sucessfully sink a couple of tankers, or block access for a while, and prices would skyrocket past anything we've seen in decades.

now add $1.25 + $4.00 dollars to that price and that's what you ll pay when you go to war with Iran :) your so smart, I am sure your parents worked very hard to raise you, and your local education system must be a credit to your community.

I can sit here and say so much more good things about you, but the negative energy being wasted on you isn't worth it.

Attacking Iran would skyrocket gas prices. Why we don't personally buy oil from them, both Russia and China do. So when that supply stops, both those countries have to look elsewhere. More demand on the open market.

So...just how many American soldiers lives is it worth to see that magic number at you neighborhood gas station?

Will my sailors life be enough, or will more shipmates be needed? It would be cause for peace of mind to families if their honor of family blood in the sand was recognized at the local gas pump.

You would be willing to kill human beings and destroy another foreign nation JUST so we can have cheap gas here? That's sick - you'd have fit well into the Third Reich.

We are not there to lower gas prices lol
Also, if the government really really wanted to make gasoline and diesal cheaper, they would just take off the 2.00 dollars in federal and state taxes on every gallon you buy.
