I want to get a cold air intake for my 05' silverado I've heard of K&N, Injen,Volant,or AEM Brute Force.If I'm paying good money for an intake system I want one that delivers.Please give me some experienced opinions thanks, Axelbeast

Well my opinion would be a K &N because they are great. I sujjest looking into yout budget though first. They can be a bit pricy and also make sure you get the proper one for your model and make sure its set up right. You want the most for your intake Good luck happy shopping.

Cold air intakes all work on the same premise but, will vary in price. I have used on on all of my vehicles and, find that they all give the same increase. Be for warned that if you use the full frontal aspect that you may suck up water into the vehicle and ruin parts. It's better to leave the flow on top .

Personally i prefer K&N but there pretty much all the same..just look at the size of the metal tube the bigger it is the easier it is for your engin to take the air... Besides the size of the tube you need a good filter like k&n. K&N keeps the air colder than the other ones and they are easy to install

Basically it is a larger tube for your engine to breath more air in.
Bigger the tube inside diameter - the more air
Reguardless of that if you dont hve an aftermarket exhaust system you woul d be lucky to see a 10-20 HP upgrade

They're all pretty much the same. don't worry about hydrolock unless you plan to wade through rivers. In that case get a WAI.
