It's a miracle that a friend at my last church was diagnosed with cancer and was given less than a couple years to live...and after praying for God to heal her...she is healthy and doing very well...more than 4 years later.
another person I know at church had 10% functionality in his kidneys, and as kidney's do not regenerate, it was a miracle that after praying for healing, he was told by the "astonished" doctor that his kidneys were functioning between 17-21%. Something that never happens. This was over two years ago...and he has not needed a transplant.
My friend's sister was in an accident where their SUV was slammed from behind by an 18 wheeler. Everyone lived and with relatively minor injuries considering.
People can say they are just coincidences...but...I believe they are miracles, and I thank God for them...
some more recent ones, that aren't personal, but the news media reported...

A pickup truck hit a boulder and tumbled over a 150-foot cliff, but the 71-year-old driver survived, officials said. "It was a miracle that someone saw her vehicle," Sheriff's spokesman Rick Glancey said. "It is one of these days when God was on her side."

Ga. teen gets minor scrapes, bruises in six-story fall
Sunday, Aug 05, 2007 - 07:35 PM Updated: 12:36 AM
By Associated Press
(AP) - Matthew Savage was trying to help a Raleigh (North Carolina) woman retrieve her son's bathing suit. The good news is that he lived to tell about it.
The Gainesville, Georgia, teenager fell six stories from a hotel balcony trying to help Tracy Weeks catch the swimsuit after it had fluttered down from the 11th floor.
Savage hit other balconies on his way down and slammed onto a slanted rooftop covering the Tropical Winds' lazy river. He slid off that roof into the bushes.
After he landed in the bushes, he got up and started walking back to his room. But paramedics strapped him to a board and flew him to a nearby hospital for an examination. He said a full body scan and other tests showed he was OK.

Yeh. A complete personality change, wisdom, lost excess weight, had a prayer answered five ways, went from always wrong according to others to always right, from insults to compliments no man ever got, I don't think, unpopular to popular. I wrote down a long list like depressed to happy, got off depression medications all from the spirit of truth. Beautiful car at half price or less. Best car I ever had, won't stop running. Hit a car, 150 dollars, they said forget it. Can hardly see a scratch on my door. Don't have to work now. Got something I was so ineligible for anyway. I thought God couldn't go against Walmart, but they let me do something against policy after I prayed, that no one else could do. I think it really is partly belief, because prayer never worked until I saw it work for someone and since then it has worked for me, but not something like walking on water. That's in lesson two, I guess. I don't think miracle go against the laws of nature. We just don't know them all yet. Quantum physics is discovering them now, to my understanding. The timing seems miraculous, like getting money I needed the very next morning, but I think there's even rules to that I think. Everything in the universe is orderly and God is not a God of confusion, people are.

I'm with BonnieLynn: lots of them.
They happen all around us every day, it's just a matter of how sensitive or insensitive you are to them. Miracles aren't really understood too well. Too many people think of them as dramatic and show-offy.
Every cell that divides into another cell is a miracle. How our eyes developed to decipher some strange wave-thats-like-a-particle to see with is a miracle. How electricity in a person's brain can give a novel or a painting or a new approach to some disease is a miracle.
It's just a matter of knowing what to look for and forgetting all that Hollywood baloney.

I see it everyday the sun rises and sets. I witnessed it a little over two years ago with the birth of my daughter. As I watch and listen to her talk, play, and laugh, that is the miracle. When you get the chance of seeing a child being born, all types of emotions go through you. Out of pain, comes the blessing and that is what a child of your is all about, LOVE.
P.S.: ratbag,
I feel very sorry for you. Living in a pessimistic world must be very depressing for you. I feel you need to open your eyes to the opportunities that are out there. Yes, bad things happen, but you shouldn't allow it to warp your senses. I also fear for your well-being. Being this unhappy can only mean that you suffer from depression. My advise to you is to seek professional help.

Yes, I have been privileged to be part of several. One miracle was a woman we knew with a documented tumor in her leg under a mole asked a few of us to pray over her. We did and when she showed up for her scheduled surgery, the x-ray was clear and the tumor that was there on the previous x-ray was gone! Another minor miracle happened to me when I was first married. My husband and I didn't have enough money to pay our bills. We needed $100.00 to pay our electric bill or it was going to be shut off. I had just read how Elisha laid that threatening letter from Sennacherib before the Lord, so I laid this bill before the Lord and prayed that He would pay it. Two days later I received a check in the mail from a distant relative who had no idea my financial state or that I had been praying for money to pay my bill. Guess how much it was for? That's right, $100.00! When I called her to thank her and asked her why she sent it, she said she didn't know why, she just got a whim. But I knew why. We serve a great and loving God.

Yes I was crushed by a Ford Pickup into a Stationwagon when I was about 5-6 years old and it's a miracle that I'm still walking. The truck broke my pelvis and I was bed ridden all thru christmas, then had to have rehab to learn to walk again.

Yes, and it seems insignificant. I can see no meaning to it.
It startled me at the time, and continues to-why did it happen, no ones lives were saved, or anything like that, but it was extraordinary. One other person witnessed it happen, and there was physical evidence that it had happenned.
It was in August 2001, I can't remember the date, but could work it out.
ps. no possibly causal circumstances like sleep deprivation, heightened emotion, or drugs etc. were involved.

One personal miracle, was many years ago, after having prayed for God to provide a single dime, that I was in need of...a dime appeared in my hand.
I have been witness to miraculous healings as well as "coincidental" happenings, that were without any doubt, the moving of the miraculous hand of God...God is still in the miracle business...

Yes. A number of years ago, when my mother and I were sitting on our sofa in the living room, I noticed she had somehow burned her left hand. I had a sudden impulse to place a tissue on her hand and cover it briefly with my right hand. When I removed the tissue, her hand was perfectly healed. We were both astonished. I was never able to repeat the miracle. Apparently, it was a one-time event.

No, I have never witnessed an event that is inexplicable by the laws of nature. What we call "miracles" are merely things that we have yet to explain.
Human beings being born, surviving accidents, and fortuitous events are not miracles.
