I was at the library. Columbus Metropolitan. Reading a book on a shelf. The guy was walking by, and said 'excuse me'.
Then I felt two fingers caress my butt. I did feel it. But did not say anything as I thought it was an accident. He walked away, and I turned an he stopped and turned slightly. Then went away. I felt as if I should have said something, but I didn't really wanna cause anything. What should I have done? Slapped hi? Or was what I did cool?

You did the right thing. It doesn't seem like he did it on purpose. Now if this happens again the next time you are in the library with the same guy, then you'd have cause to say something.

I dont think this was an accident. I know because I am a complete gentleman and I would swing from the light fixtures just to make sure I did not touch a woman, by accident or otherwise....without her permission. Gentleman do these things.....thats why they have that word. I think you took the high road. In the future, should it happen again....I would stop the person and get an explanation. "Why did you just touch me?" Make them explain. Look right at their eyes, you can tell if they did it by mistake. Good Luck and stay away from those dangerous Libraries. LOL.

guys always think there are so slick when they try and grab a girls *** cause they think we will think it was probably an accident just like the way you did. I don't know if staying quite was the best decision all i know is that i would have said something not in a mean way cause i wouldn't have known if it was a accident or not but i would have said hey you touched my butt and waited for him to answer and depending on what he said like if he did then i would have told him off and then if he didn't than i would have said well its ok just be careful where you walk next time.

In the state that I work in (as a cop), you were just a victim of a 4th degree sexual assault. I am not sure how it works in your state, but I bet you could have called the cops and had him cited for at least disorderly conduct. Anywhere you live, nobody has the right to touch you in anyway that is not wanted.
I can't say what you did was cool, but I can tell you that it is brave of you to open up your experience in a forum that can possibly help others. It is a certainty he will try this again.
Maybe, just maybe he will try this on my girlfriend. Then he will get what's coming to him. I promise you that much.

ewwww! if it was a creepy guy I would have yelled hella loud " hey you perve keep your hands off of me!!" hopefully this would have embarrassed him! I would have even told the librarian that some guy is molesting people and make them ask him to leave! If no one says anything the creep will keep on doing it! you gotta stick up for your self girl! NOBODY has the right to touch you in a way your not comfortable with. sorry if I sound mad but there are alot of gross guys that think it's sexy to do stuff like that and it's just gross! I've had guys straight up grab my but or try to touch my breast. Not like at a club or anything but at a supermarket! people need to learn respect!!

Well depends if you liked it or not. But next time just tell him" Hope you enjoyed the free feel because that's as close as your going to get". ANd say it loud so everyone around will hear and they will look at him and it will embarass him. SO next time either do that or slap him and tell him" You pervert keep your hands to yourself"

Screamed. At the library, that would have gotten plenty of attention. He would have ended up extremely embarrassed . . . after you loudly told everyone what the creep did, LOL. Maybe you could have loudly suggested calling the police . . . since the creep is going around publicly molesting women.

Well...it's hard to say. If you think he did it intentionally, maybe you should at least infor the librarian so that they can keep an eye out for this guy, They may have already had some complaints, because if he did once, he'll do it again...he's sick.

i think you were cool 4 not trying to start anything but at the same time he was disrespecting you and that's rude! if it's one thing i hate it's disrespect towards women from men or even boys to girls know there parents taught them better but you should have definitely said something to that ***!!!
