If those are your real times (they don't really make sense) your mile time is pretty good. I would concentrate on distances of a mile or shorter. Do a lot of speed work--don't just run long and slow that will mess you up.

hey dude, im 6'3 180 pounds, good body for a runner, and the last time i timed myself (which was when i was 14, 5'7 and about 190) it was 10:10 for the mile. dont sweat it man. if you do want to get faster though, just run all the time, as much as you can. some guys carry a watch with them to monitor themselves. I dont know how big/competetive your schools track team is, but i know that the place I just graduated from, a 5:10 mile is PLENTY quick

Run 4-5 miles everyday, 7-8 on Sunday. Keep that up until winter comes around and you'll see great improvement, and you will have a noticeable advantage during the workouts.
Don't forget to stretch.

I used to run the mile in 4:38. What helped me most was a faster/stronger breathing pattern to get a rhythm going and maintaining that pace. My breathing set my pace and was in rhythm with my legs. I often burst at the end of my run pushing myself further.

You're running your first mile too fast. You're a better runner than half the military though, so don't be too hard on yourself.

Steroids.
But I wouldn't suggest that.
They will shrink your balls, and mess up your development.
