I have to good size couches, TV, entertainment center, dining room table with 5 chairs, 5 good sized dressers, 3 queen sized beds, and two desks. It will be traveling about 45 miles, how much with this cost?!

Concur with 5foot2. I have moved many times in my life, always by getting friends together or hiring workers, where I still helped out. It always took all day and I was tired and crabby - not to mention sore - for days.

This last time, I hired movers to move a 2BR apartment (no appliances) to a house I had remodeled. They even had to haul everything up a flight of stairs in the front yard. It cost about $300 (actually $250, but I gave them a $50 tip because of the stairs) and it was done in about 4 hours.

I will never move my stuff again. Just pack it up and call the movers. They have all the pads, shrinkwrap, dollys, ropes, etc., to do the move quickly and efficiently. Well worth the money.

i moved a 2 bdrm apt dining room no appliances about 35 miles... cost me 300

worth every penny... they were great... done in one trip, and if there had been any damage it was covered (there was none)

yes, friends with a truck and a case of beer can do a move, but so much easier and less stressful...

I am a bit of a detail freak so all boxes were label by room and all the doors of all rooms were labelled too so everything ended up in the correct place...

these guys even help set up the dining room table which was a heavy beast

pricey (maybe a little) piece of mind PRICELESS!
