I do not usually brag, yet I have to this time. Because I am a Gibbs fan. I told everyone on here that Kyle would be going to Gibbs. I said this starting a day or two after he was announced to leave. If you do not believe it, just look back at my past answers. Everyone (almost) said DEI. Why would he go there? O.K. Here is my question. Do you think that starting next season, Joe Gibbs Racing will be the new number one team in NASCAR? I know Hendrick is currently the number one team, yet is this the start of Gibbs domination?

To comment on some early answers. right now, at this point in the season, it is Gibbs Racing with the better all around team. I know that Jr. is not in a Hendrick car. Could Busch be better in a Gibbs ride? Who knows. If they were in cars now, Gibbs has better team standings.
Hendrick
Gordon 1st pts.
Johnson 7th pts.
Jr. 13th pts
Gibbs
Hamlin 2nd pts.
Stewart 5th pts.
Busch 8th pts.

JGR will be a huge threat for Hendricks in 2008. I speak as a die hard HMS fan. JGR will have drivers that arent affraid to bump, push, or pass rookies or veterans. You have a good point. Tony, Denny, Kyle! Check your HANS device. They will be the Oakland Raiders of NASCAR and they will be good. HMS will win 2008.

When I saw Kyle messing with Tony on camera, pouring water on him or somthing,(Trying very hard to get Tony's attention) I knew thats where he was goin too. That incident was right after Harvick said they didnt want him at Childress. About a month or two ago that happened. All the voting polls said DEI 70% / Ginn 20% , a few others and then Gibbs at 6%. I try not to listen to rumors, with so much coverage on NASCAR it's easy to find the truth, Heck I knew Erin Crocker and Ray Evernham were bed wrestling at least a week before Jeremy spilled the beans, Just by watchin body language.
To answer your question,
I think Gibbs will still be as strong as they are now, except they will have three teams that are contenders, instead of 2. As long as Kyle gives up his pos to Tony every time he sees him, it'll work out great.

Yes, you made the right call with Busch going to Gibbs but did you see the Gibbs to Toyota deal coming? Before you go saying they are stronger than Hendrick (or will be) you need to factor in how would they do in Toyotas? How strong would they be if Tony left because of the switch? There are still unanswered questions and we will have to wait and see. If Gibbs stays with Chevy and retains Tony they will be a formidable team that has to be considered Sprint Cup favorites but they could end up not working together very well and let their egos get in the way of the big picture. I will be very interested to see how the dynamics work themselves out over there next year, but congratulations again. If I were a fan of JGR I would be excited AND nervous right now.

You really shouldn't brag; you should be modest. The next time you are wrong, everyone will let you know it.
My husband and I are Redskins fans and we love Coach Gibbs. Tony is who is is today because of Joe Gibbs and the respect he has for him. The jury is still out on whether Kyle is smart enough to hear the message from the Coach. This is his last chance to race at a high level. He better not blow it.
Personally, I think Gibbs Racing is crazy to take on another "project" like Kyle. He's going to be work, just like Tony is work. Joe must think he's worth saving, .just like Tony is
Hail to the Redskins!

Joe Gibbs is going to have alot on his plate next year trying to handle his racing team with two cocky smart butts, Stewart and Kyle Busch, and then he'll have his cry baby blame everything on the #11 team Hamlin to deal with too.
I feel for Joe Gibbs.

No, I think, I hope it isn't going to be dominated by any one team! I really don't like to see any team so dominate over the others. I am hoping that the Toyota teams get there licks in for the 2008 season! I know it is too much to ask for them to get there in 2007 but I really hope they are able to find the proper resources they need to get the ball rolling and get em on the NEXTEL Cup win list! I know I will have alot of people thinking I suck pulling for Toyota. But, Toyota is here and they are great cars sorry to say it but much more dependable than american cars. Not to mention the fact that the Camery's are made (assembled) in Fremont, California. At a Chevrolet plant that would otherwise not be in use... Giving hundreds of Californian's a job. Not only does this plant create jobs at the plant it creates jobs in so many other areas...

Well,I'll admit that a JJ Yeley for Kyle Busch makes you stronger.A Dale Jr. for Shrub makes Hendrick stronger,so no I can't go with Gibbs being #1.

Probably not, I think Hendricks is still going to be strong, atleast in the first half of the season. Next year is full COT.
