I found a softball question I could easily answer. The claim is I'm rude, but mostly, I bring facts. Do they really think they can silence the truth?

Raven's Voice,
Blocking means that you can't reply to a question. Blocking everyone who gives answers you don't like is the new false report. Your questions cannot be answered by opposing voices. That does change content.

seeking4ever,
I can't read the question, just the title. The link I provided won't show the question or answers for me.

I only try to block those who are hateful trolls, or who openly threaten to report people you they don't like.

There are one or two from accidental mouse thumbpad touches that I need to find and remove.

I'm not afraid of someone else's truth... but I don't like when their truth precludes my right to disagree and live in peace.

Then again, I like questions and believe one cannot know the truth without having considered opposing views.

How is not listening to you "silencing" you?

If I put a channel blocker on my TV, does that mean that the networks I've blocked suddenly go off the air for everyone?

EDIT: you wrote: "Blocking means that you can't reply to a question. Blocking everyone who gives answers you don't like is the new false report. Your questions cannot be answered by opposing voices. That does change content."

And, do you think that anyone here has actually blocked everyone who gives answers they don't like"? I very much doubt that that is possible, since there are new people here all the time.

Further, if folks just want to limit the responses they get to those who agree with them...well, I may think that's a waste of time, but it's not up to me to *make* them listen to things they don't want to listen to.

Hmmm, this reminds me of some other things...and my answer is, if you don't like blocking people, don't do it yourself, but don't tell others that they cannot.

Blocking doesn't really silence you at all. It is to help stop stalkers and trolls that want to follow your questions around. You can still see and answer every question if you go through all the questions in whatever section you want.

It has nothing to do with 'truth'. But more to do with censorship of belligerant vulgarity done out of malice. It only proves how much some really do need to learn moral conviction and compassion for other people.

God bless

Christians have no debate skills, so they think they can just do this and pretend the problem doesn't exist. Sort of how like a bird will stick it's head in the sand and then it thinks it's enemy can't see him. This is the essence of stupidity, thank you for proving them wrong.

It's one thing to present yourself a certain way when answering a question; the e-mails that the same person sends to the other person is quite another matter. And that word-"truth"; please.

Atleast they are only trying to block people or silence them through propagandist purposes. They used to burn us at the stake, I think this is progress.

beacuse religion is a very very very touchy subject, its hard to live your whole life being told one thing and then one day have a hundred ppl bumbarding you with questions and using their freedom to insult and scare you. its not easy, so some ppl just cant stand to hear it, thats all.

Because the opposition won't give up until they are "right."
