I was brought up as a christian. But now that I'm older I find myself very much confused. I have so many so many questions against my faith. I don't deny that there's a higher power but I have too many doubts to simply have blind faith in him.

So what does that make me?

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins, and that He is your Lord and Savior...then you are a Christian. If you do not practice your faith because you have questions or doubts, then you should speak to your/a pastor...talk with mature Bible believing Christians and they will certainly help you to answer the questions you have. If you think that no one can answer the questions, remember, God gives wisdom to those who ask, and He opens the eyes of those who truly seek Him. Keep in mind, you believe in a higher power for a reason...this higher power is God...and as long as we give God the same benefit of the doubt that we humans always ask for when people are judging us, that he is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, all loving with no evil in Him, and cannot lie, then we are lead to the right answers by Him. God gave His only Son so we would not have to pay the penalty for our sins...this is an act of Divine love that no other religion can claim. No other religion teaches it's adherents to love their enemies. No other religion mentions and commands love of one's neighbor as many times in as many ways as the Bible does.

It's certainly normal to have questions...I have had many in my life, and expect to have more, but in making the effort to do the research, learning more of the context surrounding many Biblical teachings, speaking/debating/discussing with mature Christian friends, my doubts were put to rest and many things clarified.

Christians are to respect those who do not believe, love them, pray for them...that they will someday see the truth and be saved. Our love for others, as demonstrated and established by Jesus Christ bears witness that Christianity is truth.

If you don't believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are not a Christian...as Jesus Christ is the core of Christianity...without Him, there is no Christian and no salvation.

If you have any questions you would like to discuss on a personal basis just e-mail me and I will see if I can help to your satisfaction, or at the very least point you in a direction that can. Believers are to support one another, and be there for each other especially when one is having doubts.

God Bless you and Take Care!

It's perfectly normal to start questioning what we believe as we get older. All to often, we Christians tend to oversimplify our beliefs when we try to teach our children. This tends to lead to misunderstanding and doubt as we grow. "When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things." (1 Corinthians 13:11, KJV) I know this is out of context, but it is a good tool to explain what is coming next.

That you have questions about your faith is a good thing. It means you are starting to think as an adult. It gives you the opportunity to learn and grow. Ask as many questions as you want. And don't stop until you get answers that satisfy you. Keep asking people of different faiths and different denominations, and pray about the answers. You have a long spiritual journey in front of you, and there is nothing wrong with asking for help. Even atheists and agnostics can give pearls of wisdom.
If you must label yourself, it is my opinion that you can still call yourself a Christian unless you have renounced Christ.
Good luck on your journey. May God be with you.

Unless You Have truly Invited Christ into Your Heart, and Made Him Lord Of Your Life.......That makes you a Poor "LOST" Soul.. And God wants you to make up your MIND to Live for Him, so You will be Happy and KNOW YOU ARE SAVED AND ON YOUR WAY TO HEAVEN. It is good that you do not Deny A Higher Power, But you Must accept Jesus, To BE A TRUE CHRISTIAN......I am answering Your Question With all the LOVE of JESUS I Have in My Heart. " God Bless YOU And show You favor." (smile) + + +

If you believe in a higher power you are not agnostic. There are many different religions apart from Christianity, why not try one of them. Agnostics do not believe in gods, they are atheists who qualify their atheism by saying it is impossible to know whether gods exist or not.

Some faith + some doubt = agnostic, in my opinion. I think the agnostics have it hardest of all. Good luck finding your truth!

It means you are still searching for God...you haven't found him yet...You didn't mention repenting from your sins or being baptized...You didn't mention following Jesus...I think you need to get back to where you started from and find out about Jesus..If you get into the Bible and learn about Jesus, then someone will be able to put those doubts at rest ...How can you believe in someone you don't know? Find out about Jesus, then come back and ask your questions....

If you believe there's a higher power then you're not agnostic.

you are probably agnostic...

how do you feel about Jesus? That will really tell you. Most agnostics deny he is the son of god. And if you don't believe in Jesus, then you certainly are not Christian.
