I have a 4 month old pom chi puppy, and she used to be super fluffy and SO adorable. Now, I still love her, but her furs gone flat!
What can I do to make it fluff up again?
Vitamin, hair products...anything to name?
I know this might be her chihuahua side showing;
but now shes looking a lot more like a chihuahua than half a pom and half a chihuahua! Need help fast!

I KNOW she cant be her fluffy puppy self, but i was wondering if there are any supplements she can take, or shampoos that can help her fur look more fluffier.

Feed a very premium food. But they do tend to get a longer for suttle thicker more flat coat when they get more mature.

Often, Pomeranians go through a stage of growth in which their puppy coat is shorter and less fluffy because their bodies have grown. By about a year they have their adult coat which fluffs a little more.
I have no experience with Pom Chi's, and it is possible that the pup inherited the coat of the Chihuahua. Really and truly, you won't know what the adult dog will look like until it's about a year home.
If her hair is still a little long, you can always take her to be groomed and they can wash and blow dry her hair kind of fluffy-like. She will never look like she did as a puppy. That stage is over. She is still the same dog and she still needs to be told how cute she is!
It's unfortunate, but true, that many people buy these 'designer breed' puppies and then dislike their look as adult dogs. The reality is, when you are mixing breeds, there is no way to be sure how those dogs will look.
I hope you still love your puppy and you will keep her happy! You can have a long and happy life together! Be sure to get her spayed in a couple months!

I had a pom-chi for more than 10 years and it happened too, at about 4 or 5 months his hair went mostly flat, but the face, the hair around the head and in the back legs (you know the butty part) continued having a nice pom look. I'd browsed several pom-chis pictures after my doggy passed and they are all different. If your dog comes from a long hair chihuahua she'll retain more of the pom's look (as mine did) than if she comes from a short-haired parent. There is little you can really do about that, just love your dog for what she is. I'm sure she'll be a great pet disregarding her hairstyle.

its probably excess oil. you know when you wash your hair to much and it dries out and goes light and fluffy, same thing shampoo her hair, dry with a towel and blow dry it whilst fluffing it up with your hands, repeat a few days later if it hasnt worked, dont over do it though, they need some moisture in the coats otherwise they get flakey skin. use a baby shampoo or a dog shampoo, make sure you properly rinse it out, read the label and be careful of her eyes. btw you are so lucky to have a pom chi xxx

A puppy's coat will change as it grows up. Usually they are much softer and fluffier when they are puppies. If you want your dog to have a different look you can check out the different shampoos, brushes, and styling products that your pet store carries. I doubt that you will get the look you want, but it is something you can try.

When you get a mixed puppy you never know what they will look like once they've grown up....all puppies are adorable and not representative of what they will look like grown up. If you wanted a pom you should of got a pom.

Thats just how they are, first when there little there all fluffy and soft but then the cuteness and all wears down. When puppies get older all the things you liked about them go away. Why do you think most people want puppies to stay puppies forever? Don't you???

well, pups mixed w/a long hair and short hair dog can come out with fluffy fur, then go short or medium. it could stay like that for ever.
another thing that could cause this, is that its summer, in winter, she might fluff up more.
but prolly not.
pups can look more like one of their parents then both put togather.
but please dont tell me if her fur stays short, that youll be angry and wont want her anymore :(
its not her fualt, noyjing is an animals fualt.
hope this helps!

unfortunately your adorably fluffy pup is developing its adult hair, many mix breeds( pom-chi, cockapoo, etc) have very fluffy puppies that grow up to have the hair type of the smoother parent. unless you want to get her a perm(hahaha kidding) there is nothing you can do
