If someone claims to be a Christian yet is greedy, very selfish, jealous, bitter, has a temper problem, and is unforgiving how do you respond? I think the Bible is clear that those who constantly exhibit these characteristics are not saved. The only reason why some people say "do not judge" is because they feel guilty and do not want to repent.

thats a hard question because only God knows whats in another persons heart. We are all human therefore we will never be perfect ,but i believe that when we are saved, we always try to do the right things, and make us a better person. I've been saved for 15 yrs now and of course I know I'll never be perfect but for instance if i do lose my temper, I will always say I'm sorry, and really mean it

Use it as a learning experience and grow. A lot of times someone who is having a problem growing will seek to get support for their actions that are wrong. Don't give it to them. If you find that the thinking is errant, tell him. Tell him why.

I would also become as fluent in Biblical applications. That's something that a lot of Christians have a problem with. Let God do with that person whatever He will do. It's not your job to change people, but God may use us when we least expect it.

It is Christians like these who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, but then walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle that hurt their religion. Yes, Christians sin just like everybody else. However the closer you are to Jesus, the less you want to do those things. My thought is that this particular Christian is not close to Jesus. You can try to be a Christian and be gay-- but being gay will just drive you away from God because you will likely fall into other sins and become deeper and deeper into sin.

Well first ask God for wisdom. Is this person just a babe in Christ? because they are born again but their mind must be renewed, before some of the worldly caricaturists start to "fall" off. Yes if God tells you to confront a brother/sister, then do it in humility, and, Love. Pray that God begin to show them, and give them ears to hear. When a baby is first born they start off life drinking milk, they have no teeth to eat meat nor can they digest it. So it is with babes in Christ.

Pray for that person. They are what we call a hypocrite. Everyone in the church is not there for the same reasons. Some are in the first stage of " attempting" to be Christlike. It takes time and focus for people to change. Who knows? One day that person may change and surprise you.

Christians come in all varieties. No Christian is perfect, the only one was Christ Himself. Everyone has flaws, Christian, Jew, Agnostic, Atheist, Mormon, ect....

If one professes to be a Christian, and has those traits, it is not for me to judge. And I'm glad its not up to me. Jesus knows every ones hearts. Although we are to "judge" fellow Christians (if they stray off course ect...) We do not judge who is going to hell or not.

no one is perfect , not before becoming a Christian or after becoming a Christian. Some of the things you listed I have a problem with, but I do my best everyday.

All humans are guilty of the feelings you've listed.

You're not a Christian because you're a good person, you're a Chistian because your sins are forgiven.

I would quote scripture to bring him back in line. Even the Bible says we are to rebuke, out of love, fallen Christians.
