The youngest your allowed to enlist is 17 with your parents signing forms stating that you are allowd to sign legal documents as a minor (contract, release forms ect) Recruiters are allowd to talk to you at the age on 16 but no younger

I signed with the Marines just after turning 17, but like everyone else said, you do have to have a parents signature.

18 you are legally an adult, and therefore, do not need the parents signature.

I believe you can enlist at 17 but have to be 18 to actually enter.

17 with parent consent, unless you are emancipated then you can sign for yourself at 17, you just have to be 18 at the time you ship.

depends on the branch, talk to a recruiter and sometimes you can get a waiver to join early with parents permission, etc, but in general 18 is the magic number.
