i like this boy in my class and hes black and i think he likes me too but i have a lil problem my mom dates black guys who have been in jail and she doesnt care about me or my sibilings so i live with my granparents so if they find out i like a black guy im dead (not literally dead)

Your mom is ridiculous for dating black men in jail-there are plenty in the world that are successful and I can see why your grandparents are pissed, they don't want you going down the same road as your mom. But remember, not every black guy is like that, okay? And make sure this boy you like is good and if he is tell your grandparents about him and tell them how wonderful and amazing he is. If they forbid you to see him then you have your mom and jailbird boyfriends to thank for that. You can find a loser black white or whatever.Because your mom has made some bad decisions, doesn't mean that you will.If Your grandparents are stereotyping black men, that is wrong. Follow your heart.Love come in all shades and colors.

Don't make decisions about any person based on race alone.
Convicts? That's your mom's problem. The fact that they are black is incidental to their low character.

As unfair as it may seem, you're going to have to abide by your grandparents' rules until you reach majority, even if they are prejudiced. However, it wouldn't hurt to bring the kid over to dinner to meet your grandparents. Why do you assume they'd be prejudiced? They may surprise you.
