Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. The throat doesn't have joints. I don't see how you could have arthritis in your throat.
Do you have the terminology right? You could have an imflammation in the throat, though. It's pretty common.
Or are you tlaking about arthritis in the neck? Jaw? Shoulders?

Not possible to answer. Arthritis is by definition the inflammation of a joint. There are no joints in your throat. Now there could be arthritis in your neck, but not in your throat. Inflammation in your throat would have to be either laryngitis or esophagitis.

Maybe you are referring to "Strep Throat" ...
The illness is caused by the bacterium Streptococcus pyogenes and is spread by direct, close contact with an infected person via respiratory droplets (cough or sneezing). Casual contact rarely results in transmission. Rarely, contaminated food, especially milk and milk products, can result in outbreaks. Untreated patients are most infectious for 2-3 weeks after onset of infection. The incubation period, the period after exposure and before symptoms show up, is difficult to establish as some people don't become symptomatic. However, it is thought to be between two and five days.
