According to Christianity, Satan is constantly lying and trying to trick us into turning away from God, and the punishment is Hell.
If Satan really has that kind of power and is the ruler of Hell, why can't he just make Hell fun?
Then he would win instantly because it would be easy to get into Hell, while it's hard work to get into Heaven.

Unfortunately it is all to easy to get to hell as all we have to do is live our lives for ourselves and not for Jesus. Satan has no more powr over us that a two year old wrestling John Cena for the title. We are on the path to hell the minute we know right from wrong, the easy part of it is the willful turning from our sin and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Following Jesus is only as hard as we make it. The more we hold on to the less power we give God and the more we are easily decieved by the devil.

Well apparently god made satan satan because he was a fallen angel, and u no that all christians have to learn lessons through forgiveness and it is alot easier to be hard then nice in these days for example think about it how many things have people done they regret and they have to sought forgivness to get rid of there sins if they dont they obviously arent as a nicer person as one who would..u c? its predy confusing but if ur bad and satan is evil why would he be nice, he would wana see pain and suffering where as god wants us all to eat mint choc chip icecream on fluffy clouds.. =] x

Satan isn't the boss but God, and religiously god is having the power over everything and Satan is punished in staying in hell. people have the freedom of doing good or bad, so the good one go to heaven, the bad ones go to hell. Satan doesn't have the power to make hell very nice because he is not a creator, he is a prisoner and God created everything according to religion.

Yeah that Satan isn't very smart. Anyway it's just a story to explain to people why they should choose good. The only real devil is part of ourselves that makes us want to turn away from God and think that evil is fun- but in reality it's never fun for very long! Then you start to suffer the consequences!

I have decided that all things in the universe are a circle. The bible says that god is love etc.... What I really believe is that there is lots of love and beauty in the world, but no concious god. Nothing ever ceases to exist, but there is no heaven either. There is no end to the universe, it is too big to measure, but things can never be too small to measure either (What is inside an atom, or an electron? Something smaller!) There is no beginning or end to anything, everything is a big infinite circle.

Actually, according to the Bible, Satan ONLY does what God ALLOWS and APPROVES. Read it and see.
The word "satan" means INNER ADVERSARY. It wasn't the name of a devil until Christians invented him so they wouldn't have to take responsibility for their own bad behavior.

because the whole point of satan is that he likes to watch people suffer. when he was an angel he was angry that God put humans before angels, gave them more. Thus, he wants us to be in pain, to be punished...not have fun.

Who said he's the ruler of Hell? He has no real power.
It's really not hard work to get into Heaven. It's very easy.
