Let's all sit here and congregate [wait for the question] and ask ourselves if we can honestly show proof that a higher power, evolution or (insert more beliefs) exist? I mean, cold hard facts and evidence.

That's what i thought.

So, the question "Why do atheists exist?" by A.Marie1 really hit a nerve. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ask1qDG.mrK7K4j21.NdmOnd7BR.?qid=20070807134254AATZHeP&r=w&pa=FZptHWf.BGRX3OFMiTJQUkHm3qe.IBZdgS1id1CGRVX85SHtDA--&paid=answered&cp=2&tp=2&tnu=34#all-answers

Why do people like her of religious belief or not feel the need to shove their own in everybody else's face?

I am agnostic and a believer in evolution. I was raised catholic but denounced it at 11 because I found it, well...let's not go there.

Ok, I'm sorry if I offended any of you. I did NOT say i could prove the "big bang" or "evolution" I said it was a theory...I think.

I'm asking a question, not preaching. I could stand in front of my local church if I wanted to do that.

She probably is a troll, but it still hit a nerve and I just want to know why there are so many people like that.

I am not saying I am right, and that you are wrong.

That's why I'm not shoving my beliefs down your throats.

And if I ever did, you have the right to spit them back in my face and call me stupid.

By the way, good point with the liar thing, but my name is liar because I believe we are all liars, sinner and fakes.

I didn't turn away from God, I still believe but i also believe in evolution.

A.Marie1 is a fairly obvious troll. That was not a serious question.

you have made a fact (a biased one at that, by potential of your very own admission), no longer asked a question. in case you ask a question and somebody supplies an answer you do unlike, no longer person-friendly.to respond to your fact, no, i haven't observed atheists being from now on "theory-shoving" than theists. actually, while a one or 2 observe answer could be sufficient, i've got observed sermons with bible and qu'ran verses used. I consider you that greater understand might desire to be shown. Disrespect is shown by potential of immature human beings: it extremely is not appropriate what your view happens to be. Pay nearer interest to the disrespect, and you will see that it happens the two on all factors of view.

I have decided that all things in the universe are a circle. The bible says that god is love etc.... What I really believe is that there is lots of love and beauty in the world, but no concious god. Nothing ever ceases to exist, but there is no heaven either. There is no end to the universe, it is too big to measure, but things can never be too small to measure either (What is inside an atom, or an electron? Something smaller!) There is no beginning or end to anything, everything is a big infinite circle.

Ok. So that's your belief. What's your point? What I find incredibly stupid about this website is the fact that rather than "discuss" differences, people just want to shout the loudest what their opinion is. I don't have to do that because its hurts my throat. I will tell you this, however, "for his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world's creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made; even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable. . . but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their unintelligent heart became darkened. . ."Romans 1:20-21. If you choose not to believe, that's your choice, thankfully for you, God made us with free will rather than robotically being programed.

Well, that was very harsh, and I'm a Christian. Not all of us are like that. Just like not all agnostics, or atheists are rude. That is a personal thing that people have as characteristics about them. Hopefully the Christian tries to contain it, but we are human too. In any "group" of people, there are good ones, boring ones, and bad ones. It's not just a Christian problem. Its a every "group" of people problem.

It is not possible under U.S. law to for someone to "shove their beliefs down everyone else's throat". You are are free to worship as you please,or not at all. This question appears to be a troll question. You are not asking a question. You are here to annoy and harass. Your graphic terminology suggests a preoccupation with rape.

well, I'm atheist and I don't shove my beliefs down people throats. I've encountered people that do that, but I think they feel like they have to save me and others because we're doing something wrong and will burn in hell if we don't change now. But,m they could just be jerks or crazy I'm not sure lol

God said that liars would have their place in the lake of fire....I'm just sayin'.......
Faith is the belief in things unseen. I believe in God and Jesus died to save my soul from the aforementioned lake.
That is all I need. I'll pray for you cause I sure don't want you to go to Hell...no one should.

I hear ya.
We also get this all the time over in the LGBT section, where people preach their beliefs at us constantly.

Then of course, there is the 99.9% of billboards, movies, TV, radio, advertisements, books, etc. etc. that try to shove the straight "lifestyle" as the only acceptable one down everyone's throat.
Well . . . let's not go there. :o)

Why does almost everyone who turns away from Catholicism turn away from God. A. Marie, I think was a little off her rocker... but that's not shoving her beliefs down your throat.

You just did it, friend. You're shoving your beliefs.
You prove that the world was created by The Big Bang or whatever theory you adhere to.
I mean cold, hard proof.
