It's fun to read the well educated insights of the people that peruse the questions on yahoo, ruffling their feathers and puffing their chests. But really if we were to meet in a political debate and you could not google your reasoning would you stand for your convictions or cower at the fear of looking ignorant and misinformed.

IE-
Your views on Partial Birth Abortion

Your views on President Bush

Your views on the War in Iraq

Your views on Chavez and Citgo

Your views on Sex Education being taught to your 5 year child

Your views on the right to bare arms

Really could you go the distance or would you cowar with the masses and hide behind a political agenda that most proclaim to support and few understand?

Romare- You rock thank you for the spelling lesson. Evidently if we were in a political debate that used spelling I would be at a huge disadvantage. So what were your thoughts on the question or are you still googling Webster?

PS- I am not going to correct my spelling because your posts about my horrible spelling would not make any sense. Thanks for the humor guys and baring with me. I will make sure and wear sleeves when I am firing my Sig 9 MM.

This old vet, warrior, is too old, too seasoned, and too hard headed to back down from anyone!!!!
Partial birth abortion !!! Against, because I have not yet met anyone who was aborted!!! Seems as only the living wants to kill babies!!!!
President Bush, has made a lot of mistakes, FOR SURE !!!! I believe that George dropped and broke his crystal ball, when he was a young kid, so he did not have the ability to fore see the crap we are now in. I do hear a lot of people, with 20 /- 20 hind sight, pointing fingers of blame, but I do not hear any of them saying how they plan to resolve the crap!!!!
The war-- As an old vet, 2 honorable discharges, I quote "" WAR IS HELL!!!!"" I remember, even before our troups began going into Iraq, seeing satellite photos of caravans of trucks leaving Iraq, and going into Syria !!!!!!!!!!! I do not know if those trucks were carrying loads of w.m.d.s out of Iraq, and over to Syria, or not. I also remember, during the Clinton Presidency, seeing satellite's photos of a " nuclear enrichment plant" in Iraq( or at least that is what President Wm. J. Clinton claimed)!!! In the light of the fact that Saddam Huessen had slaughtered SEVERAL 10,000's of his own countrymen, I do believe that George had a justafiable concern about Iraq!!!!
I AM FOR THE AMERICAN, AND OUR ALLIES, TROUPS 79,6154,069,463,864 PERCENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I DO NOT, nor do i plan to ever purchase any product from citgo !!!!!!!! HUGO CHAVEZ DOES NOT HAVE TO LIKE THE USA!!!!! HOWEVER, I WOULD LOVE THE CHANCH TO SAY TO HIS FACE ""Frenche bese un culo, apestoso un chevo""" French kiss a goats asz"""
Sex education to minors under the age of puberty, is one of the greatest travesties ever perpetuated on the American public, and in a few years, when 8-12 year old boys are raping 7-10 year old girls, these perpetuators best not say, around me, that something is wrong!!! There will be two(2) explosions, First, my fist in their face, second, their asz hitting the ground!!!!!
Right to bear arms: Through out history, the most easily conquired nations, were the countries, whence the citizentry were unarmed, or weakly armed!! When a person enters any USA military service, that person is sworn to defend this country from any aggression"FROM WITH OUT, AND OR FROM WITH IN" EVER NOTICE??? THE CROOKED POLITICIANS ARE THE ONLY - ONLY ONES AFRAIID OF CITIZENS BEING ARMED!!! I DO BELIEVE THERE IS A MESSAGE THERE !!!!
THE FOUNDING FATHERS, THE FRAMERS OF OUR CONSTITUTATION, FORE SAW, AND KNEW THE HISTORY OF AN UN ARMED CITIZENTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, without any qualms. I've got google on my phone, which is useful for disproving the "statistics" that many people enjoy making up. Other than that my reasoning is my own.

Partial Birth abortion is ridiculous, and fortunately extremely uncommon.

President Bush is dishonest. I would tell him toe to toe too; as if he would speak to anyone that didn't already agree with him.

The War in Iraq was a mess from the beginning, and will continue long after we leave- so lets go.

Chavez is a poser.

Sex Education for 5 year olds is over dramatized- "Where do babies come from?" being answered with "From their mommies tummies" is sex education. You don't have to graphically explain intercourse, but you don't have to make up confusing crap about Storks or Cabbage patches either.

The second Amendment is both vital to the rest of our freedoms, and heavily overused. It's a "Break Glass in case of emergency." The founders had just overthrown a regime through armed conflict, and understood the importance of it. It's intended to allow the people of this country to overthrow our own government, if it finally becomes necessary. It's the very last thing we should do, but it's vital that we remain able.

Can you stand up for any of your beliefs on these topics, or were you simply curious? Because you haven't stated any convictions here...

I stand by my convictions, but I respect the rights of others.

1) I don't like abortion. I just feel that there are better ways, like adoption.

2) I voted for him twice. I am not his biggest fan, but I felt that
he was a better choice than Al Gore or John Kerry.

3) I wish the war was over, but I do support the effort there. And yes, I did serve on two deployments to the Middle East, including one last year.

4) I am no fan of Chavez. He looks good to a lot of people (ei, Sean Penn), a friend of mine works in Venezuela (not for Citgo) and he tells me that Chavez is too much like Fidel Castro. And if Castro is so great, why have so many people fled Cuba?

5) Sex education in kindergarten is starting too young. But it does need improve in the middle and high schools.

6) I don't mind bare arms (I am wearing a T-shirt right now).
Seriously, the 2nd Amendment is just as real as the 1st, but I don't think that a person needs an arsenal.

I will not change my opinion just because someone has another opinion. That would be like being brainwashed. I don't believe in Partial Birth Abortion, I support President Bush, I agree with the war, I don't shop at Citgo, and I think children should at least be taught that an adult should not touch them in certain places. This might stop a few child molesters!

I can state my reasons why I feel the way I do on the issues I regard as important. I am also ready to admit that on some issues I do not have a firm opinion as I feel that both sides have valid points.

As for going 'toe to toe' with you? If I am in the mood and have the time I would politely listen to what you have to say.

chavez is a littlepeacock in a worthless little country that is now stealing money from oil companies that were drilling there. personally i would shead a tear if he ended up dead tomorrow morning.
sex ed at 5 yes that is far to early i would say start when kids actually hit puberty i believe they started on me when i was in like 7th grade or something made for a good laugh at the time but useful information all the same .
we have a right to bear arms deal with it i dunno why people have such issues with adead animals arms hanging in thier living room.... but seriously im all for right to bear arms just not assault rifles and rpgs, a pistol i dont really care about becasue u have to be rather skilled and at a relativly close range to actually kill someoen witha pistol.
other than that i dunno if im with the political masses since they change like the tide.

Well I don't think there is anything wrong with someone using the internet to find out more detailed and accurate information (key word: accurate). So I don't think it matters whether a person has access to the internet at the time of stating something as long as it is good information.

Absolutely man, I've been on this earth long enough to know never to back down from a debate. By the way, that "to bare arms" correction was pretty funny...I stand by what I say because that's all I have...A man is nothing but his word....We're all in a sorry state of affairs right now, the ones who have the balls to admit it and to offer change and to welcome change, are okay in my book....

I would be willing to debate until hades freezes over. However, I have no position on the bare arms issue. Sleeve length is a personal choice.
