Click Service/Support near the top of the screen.

You may be able to find something useful there...

Flashing the generator is basically sending some DC power from a battery into the windings of a generator so as to re-establiish a level of residual magnetisim in the core. It only takes a second or two of DC Power to flow through the windings to creat a magnetic field strong enough so that some residual magnetim remains after the battery has been disconnected. You have to flash the generator with the correct polarity so that electricity created with the residual magentism creates a positive reinforcement allowing the voltage level to build up. If the armature winding have been connected backwards or the wrong polarity of residual magnetism is present (or missing altogether) then you won't produce power.

I did a cursory search on Generac's website, but their search capabilities are sorely lacking. You could try the site I posted above, or click on the "contact us" tab and ask them for a manual directly. They have manuals for their current lines of generators, so maybe that model will be available on-line as well.

Do you have a manual? Can you contact the maker? They could either provide some service or direct you.
