Yes. It may take a while, but once whoever owns the account you're forging the checks from decides to audit his/her/their assets, you're screwed. Remember, no matter where you go there's always going to be a paper/computer/security camera trail somewhere that leads right to you.

Yes. If it is your first offense AND wasn't for a huge amount, you may get probation. More than likely though, you will go to jail as well as have to pay restitution to whomever the checks belonged to.
