The dog because once you let him in he'll stop making noise. Not the wife because once you let her in she'll start making noise.

Okay, I'm female, so I'm the 'wife' that is knocking at the front door (I lost my key) ... the dog is barking at the back door ... I would both hope and expect my husband would 'open the door to the dog' since a 'bark' is louder and more annoying than a 'knock' ... unless of course, I was 'pounding and screaming for help' ... in which case, my husband would answer the front door, because I would be 'making more noise.' A 'bark' is an ANNOYANCE and a 'knock' from one's spouse promises 'good things' ... so I'd get rid of the annoyance so I could 'enjoy the good things' longer.

I don't have a dog I have a b***h so no matter what I do a b***h gets left in first and second. But I would answer the front door first else it could be a dog's life for me. Lol

If I had a dog and a wife [I just have a husband] I would let the dog in as his barking is disturbing the neighbours. My husband would understand why I made him wait but the dog wouldn't.
