I say definitely not. Sure long distance relationships don't always work but your 17. Soon you will be 18 then you can make your own decisions and not worry what your parents will say. If you love him then go for it!

No, your not too young to have a long distance relationship. Just beware that it will be very difficult. If you really have strong feelings for this person then you and him should be willing to go through the task of not seeing each other for a long period of time. Good luck to the both of you!

raiderchick, well the question is what will you be missing out on ? Usually one of the two fail and the other finds out and it causes real damage to the pshyce ! Long distance rarely works. We need someone to be there for the happy and sad times ! But we all make choices and then deal with the results. I hope if this is what you choose the lord blesses you !

dang 17 is not to young for any kind of relationship....sound like a long distant relationship is what your ready for tho..don't sound like your ready for one where you'd have all that kissing and touching stuff yet. but most long distance relationships don't work cause the two ppl. want the kissing and touching and it don't last cause they don't get to see each other enough to satisfy these feelings and they break it off...but good luck

yes you are - you may think it's love now but when you're young everything seems like such a big deal - it doesn't make it any easier to deal with but you're going to have to trust the people who have been your age before and realize that even adults have trouble with relationships let alone long distance ones - be young, have fun, live your life

long distance relationships take a LOT of effort on both counts. It's not really about age (although being able to drive to see him every once in a while is nice) it's about the commitment both of you have to making it work.

Your not to young, but be realistic. He lives in a different area and you don't get to spend time together. He may be in a relationship right now with someone and hasn't said anything to you about it. Besides...You may meet someone at school or work that you start dating. Your whole life is ahead of you.
