Planning permission should be denied. Why should the building of any openly sectarian HQ be given approval? Blackball this affront to civilisation and let's phase out churches and synagogues, too.

I would set an agenda to sit down with the people who are wanting the mosque and agree on the reasons for letting them build it.
The reasons would become like a letter of intent, sealed by the law of this land, to keep the entire activity of the mosque within the letter.
Included in this agenda would be an agreement of terms and conditions under which they would be permitted to operate, and recourse for the City Council to rescind the agreement - drafted in the same manner as company law, employment law, health and safety law - in the event of conditions being broken, such as preventing any member of the public from recording sermons and services as they are allowed to do in other religious assemblies. Such a caveat could also be applied in retrospect to all the masonic lodges in the UK where dubious meetings are conducted under the guise of a religion that exclude members of the public from attending and recording.

No I am not. I've already signed the e-petition and joined the facebook group against this. I don't see why they need one here. I'd rather they built a mega shelter for the homeless, or a mega refuge for victims of abuse. Not a headquarters for all the suicide bombers

No way would they let us put up a mega church in the home land, I don't have a problem with their religion, or faith, but when over here they should not expect us to change our ways to suit them they would not for us.
If they don't like then go back to where they belong, Oh I forgot no handouts there is there, so none will leave.

scrap it.

some of it is being funded by the Saudis. It is no coincidence that there is NOT ONE church, temple or synagogue in their country and it is ILLEGAL to bring ANY OTHER religious material into the country (apart from Islamic stuff of course)

I don't live in London, but i am definitely not in favor of this.

Why should the British bend over backwards constantly to provide immigrants with everything they want.

If a load of Christians went to a Muslim country, do you think they'd let us build a super church? not likely!

But then again, it might attract all the muslims from my area down to london, so that it doesn't look like half the muslim population has been dumped on my door step

yes why not, you could organise people to check for any wrong doing every so often incase people need reassurance that it is safe and not a meeting place for suicide bombers and terrorists
