go out and do something with your friends, or go for a walk around the block by yourself, go to the mall and look at clothes and stuff, clean your entire house, workout, stay busy doing something physical and not watching tv and being on the computer cause that temps you to want to be snacking while you do it. and you don't have to stop eating just eat handfuls of grapes, cherries, blueberries or nuts and raisins instead of candy. try your hardest to stop getting handfuls of cereal and get a bowl with some soy milk because it will be less food(&calories) in the long run if you add up all the handfuls vs a serving (like 1 cup) and have a full meal of it with fruit so that you won't be hungry. drink some tea (hot water&1 tea bag=0 calories and keeps you full for a long time) and fill up on water. you are probably not hungry just bored..so do something fun like blast up your stereo and start dancing!! good luck and remember that you can beat the cravings!xoxoxoxoo

You don't buy them.

Seriously. I can't think of the last time I actually bought candy. Last Halloween maybe?

If you are dieting you are hungry, fine then eat, just don't over-indulge and don't snack on unhealthy things. If you are craving something sweet like cereal or candy, have wheat toast with some honey on it instead, or toast with jelly, or for that matter some apple or grapes or other fruit. The easist way to avoid a temptation is to not keep it around you to begin with. And if your excuse is that you have kids, well maybe they shouldn't be eating that stuff either. Your household can do without it, and supporting you in loosing weight should be their first priority. :)

Try eating stuff high in fiber, that will keep you from munching. I also try to eat sunflower seed when I want salty stuff and fat free milk with reduced fat grahm crackers handles the sweets pretty well. And remember it's okay to have a cookie or two, just not the whole bag!!!!

if tossing it is not an option, buy a pad lock and give the key to someone.

drink lots of water

every time you walk to the cabinet, go walk around the neighborhood for 30 minutes. by the time you get back either you won't have the craving anymore or you'll have burned the calories.

Cereal is good for you if you get something like Honey Bunches of Oats or Yogurt Special K.

For the other stuff, toss it and shop for the healthy things

if you don't buy it, you can't eat it. when you have an urge to eat something, go for a walk or find something else to do instead. instead of eating 3 meals a day, eat 5-6 smaller meals so you don't get hungry in between meals. drink lots of water and eat plenty of fiber to keep you feeling full. chew sugar free gum or have a piece of fruit or some raw veggies.

Stop going to the cabinet or you can just take all of this kind of junk food out of the cabinet!

It can be heard to diet with that sort of thing in the house. Any chance you can give or throw it away? Then, keep healthy stuff in the house for snacks!

keep as busy as possible so you dont think of food, tape pics of what you want to look like on the fridge, any time you go to eat something look at your fat in the mirror, i mean fat flesh, and it will make you put the food down, works for me

Either get rid of and don't buy that stuff or put locks on the cabinets!
