What is older – Christianity or Homosexuality?

Seeing how Christianity wasn't invented until Jesus came to Earth around 2000 years ago, homosexuality is much older. In ancient Rome, the athletes that competed in the Olympic games did so in the nude. Since they were constantly nude, it was common practice for older athletes to have younger boys that they used as sexual objects. This is what Paul was referring to directly when he wrote the book of Romans (see chapter 1). Before Christianity became popular, homosexuality and pedophilia were very common and widely accepted, as long as the pedophilia stopped when the younger boys got married. Cannibalism was common in Europe also before the gospel came and the society started to change due to the Christian influence. "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things" (Romans 1:22-23) ... "and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator" (1:25). The rest of the chapter tells in more detail precisely what they did and that they liked doing it, even though they knew it was wrong. Of course, it doesn't really apply to us because our society isn't going down the toilet for serving the creature more than the Creator, right? And people in this country don't approve of sin, do they? (sarcasm) Oh, and by the way, about homosexuality, Ham, the son of Noah, who built the ark around the time of the flood that destroyed the world, was bisexual, and so was his son Canaan according to Genesis 9:18-27. That "uncovering his father's nakedness" incident, was a homosexual act and because Canaan was worse than Ham, Noah put a curse on Canaan. Some of Canaan's kids included the people of Sodom and Gomorrah who were destroyed by fire and brimstone that fell from heaven, impart, because they were gay and fornicators (Genesis 19, and Jude 7) and impart because they oppressed the poor and they were proud (Ezekiel 16:49-50).

Homosexuality existed at least 2,000 years before Christianity did. There's documentation of homosexuality in the OT and Christianity wasn't born until after Christ's death.

interesting question but the answer is homosexuality. christianity is fairly "new" if you actually look at the world in a time line type of format. Humans clearly came far far before religion and there is no doubt homosexuality existed before anyone had a chance to have a problem with it. we can learn a lot from pre-religious humans.

You know Christianity is quite young as religions go. Egypt, Mayans, India, China, Jews have had complicated religions at least 1000 years before Christ. Homosexuality has been alive and well since the begining of man and other animals.

Homosexuality is much older than Christianity. Sodom and Gomorrah were two cities destroyed because of it about 4000 years ago. The religion of Christianity did not come along until a few hundred years after jesus was murdered. But that doesnt mean that the Christians made up the fact that being a homo is wrong God who has always existed calls it an abomination within te first few books of the bible.

Its been proven in history homosexuality existed wayy before the religion. Right when male and female began to exist.

Obviously it wasn't as open and talked about freely like today.

No matter what religion says, homosexuality has been around just as long as man first walked around the earth - Before languages, religions, cultures or "sin"

Definitely homosexuality. It has been around since the dawn of man, while Christianity has only been around since about 35 AD.
