Oh yeah, big time. Have you checked in with a gynecologist about your situation? Do you eat a lot of grapes? Tannin in grapes and various teas can be a cause of migraines. Try taking vitamin C, calcium, magnesium and zinc supplements to help ease up on the cramps. Doing crunches can help strengthen the abdominals and increase blood flow in the lower abdominal area to help the cramps.
A lot of doctors pooh pooh monthly pain and give pain killers to stop the complaints. Hope you get some help. Start asking your doctor more questions on how you can cut down on the pain meds, otherwise you could end up in some serious trouble. Good luck, hun.

Pain Killers are SUPER addictive!! If I were you I would see if I could ask the doctor if there are any that arent addictive. Make sure you keep taking them as prescribed, the first bad thing is to take them because yo like the feeling they give you. Or you take just one more than you are supposed to.
I would urge the world not to even pick up a pain pill, I just know how bad addiction is, and once addicted, its with you forever, even if you decide to quit your addiction, you know if you pick up one more time its that much harder to put down.

If you are taking non narcotic pain relievers except that they might upset your stomach the only addiction would be mental. If they are prescribed by the doctor and have any narcotic base then yes you could become addicted. However you would be using them everyday and not just when on your cycle.

Yes, you can get addicted to painkillers. Sounds like you might have some other medical problems, though - in particular, get those 'migraines' checked out more thoroughly.

I would like to re-direct your question a little, please. There are medicines out there now to help girls who have all these symptoms with their cycle. I put my daughter on one and her whole life changed. Have you been to your doctor? A friend of mine had the scare of being tested for blood cancer after many tests, and it turned out the problem was she had been on ibuprofen daily and too much of it and it was really harming her body. You are too young to have your life being out of control this way.

addiction is something that is not limited to drugs ... you can literally become addicted to anything and everything that 'makes' you feel good ... sex, food, love, work, video games, drugs
the difference is does your addiction have negative consequences ... short term or long term
if so, the key is to be honest with yourself about what it is you're doing, and why you are doing it .... and the truth will set you free

Nope - not a narcotic. Just don't take more than the prescribed dose since it has tylenol (acetaminaphin) in it.
