I am married with no kids. I want them to take out more taxes so I do not owe at the end of the year. Should me and my wife both claim 0 for line A?

You can both claim 0 for line A. You also have the option of claiming married but withhold as if single. I've attached a link to a payroll calculation website to help you with payroll withholdings. You realize by having more withheld you are giving the govt an interest free loan, but if that is how you feel you can best save money (my wife and I do the exact thing).

You can claim 0, you can even have them withold extra per week at a chosen $ amount.

If you owed money last year you may want to take the amount you owed and divide the number of paychecks you get in a year and add that to the Married 0 exemption on the W-4.

If you claim zero allowances overall, they'll take out more - you'll lend the government some money at no interest for the year, but will get any overpayment of withholding refunded when you file your return. You are allowed to put LESS than the number of allowances the worksheets show, just don't put more.

It doesn't sound like you are a dependent of anyone - only in very unusual circumstances can someone who is married by claimed as a dependent.

In a sense it does matter, but on the other hand not really. I say that by what I see and hear in the Christian life. I first will explain my answer by tackling the "not Really" answer. As long as the "Believer" believes that Jesus is the Son of God and that he can and will do everything that he says he can and will do. He believes that Jesus came to fulfill the Law and that he died on the Cross and he is our savior. Now this is just the short list but as long as the Believer is not going to dig into the "Who was Jesus before he become flesh? " Most Christians leave it at that and this is what I call the very basic Christian. He/She knows just enough to gain salvation. So to these people they don't even think any further then that. I can't speak about the Jesus of Islam or other beliefs other then the Christian Faith. So for the first answer that it does matter, I really need to say is the more mature Christian. The Christian that really wants to know who Jesus really is so that he/she is assured of having real truth and a strong understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ. With that being said, the knowledge of knowing that Jesus was a created being or not being created is a belief that causes major Doctrines splits in the Christian faith. OK, just to put it in the simplest of terms. If Jesus was a created being as opposed to being God in the flesh. Ask yourself this question. Would I believe that Jesus had the power and the means to grant me salvation and take all my sins away if he was a created being? Ask yourself the same question only Jesus is God in the flesh? I mean that if Jesus was indeed God, I know he has the power and authority to do what ever needs to be done. I have no doubt at all! But if Jesus was created, that's a whole different ball game. I mean look at the angels, was not Satan an angel and he fell. Didn't a third of the angels also fall with him? This man, Jesus, who is resurrected to the right hand of God and is now our Mediator. As a created being, although the Bible states he did not sin and say that he was a perfect man, I just need to say that he would still be a creation. Could he still be tempted nd could he still fall? I know Jesus as God, there is no doubt, at least in my mind. I guess I should use Scriptures to back up my claims. However, the Muslims do not use my Bible and the Jehovah Witness have their own book called the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. While the Latter Day Saints also use another book, by which name totally escapes me at this point. So I am making the argument from a strictly common sense point of view. Am I bias, of course I am. And so will the other denominations or faiths be bias of their views. We have different religions here that believe Jesus was an angel before coming to earth. Some just believe that Jesus was a great man but just a Prophet of God. While others think he is God, yet a brother of Satan. I happen to believe in the Trinity and believe Jesus is God, the second person of the trinity. I take my salvation very seriously and I think that God does not Gamble with our lives or our salvation. Creation, although a great and wonderful thing has not been perfect and it's track record is bleak at best. I have the firm belief that God's plan for salvation has always been there and is from wisdom past. I don't think God gambled with my life or any others life. I firmly believe that if you want a job done and done right, you do it yourself and make sure. I believe God left it to no chance of failure, he did it himself. It was God that came in the flesh. That I can sink my teeth into. I can take that to the bank. That I do not doubt that he has the power, the wisdom and the authority to save me. That I can have faith in. I can believe in him. A created being and with creation's track record? I could believe, maybe. I could have the hope of Salvation. Which is doubt in and of its self. What I read and what I know of the Bible, My Bible there is no question of salvation. Don't get me wrong, I am not promoting the ideal of once saved always saved. I am saying that I am assured of my salvation and am saved as long as I want to be. God gives me free will, I can walk away if I wish but as long as I want to stay, Jesus welcomes me.

yes - but why do you want them to hold your money all year to get it back without and interest -- better off oweing a little but have the use of your money all year.
