No, sometimes, like humans (David Bowie for example) these strange phenomenons happen. Part of it is the gene deal, which I can't really explain. Your cat's ancestors must have had brown and green eyes, and cats can inherit from both sides, sometimes. It's typically called "the odd-eye cat." Wow! You u have one beautiful and unique cat. Have fun with her.
But the question is: did it just happen? If it did, that's kind of strange. Consult vet immediately.
Good luck to you and your beautiful kitty.
Hope this helps.

Joe, your cat is perfectly normal and probably very beautiful.
Your cat had a mother & a father. Plus it had grandparents. One side of the family probably had green eyes, and the other side of the family probably had brown eyes.
Unlike humans, who will inherit just one of the colors, cats can mix & match.
I'm actually jealous :) I've had so many cats all my life, yet I've yet to have one with mixed eye colors.
Enjoy your unique kitty!!

Some cats naturally have different colored eyes (dogs too). Also, when cats are very young, sometimes the pigments in their eyes are not fully developed yet, so their eye color changes. My cat's eyes turned from blue to green.

There's nothing wrong with the cat. It's a pretty rare condition for an animal . Take good care of it.

No. I once owned a Boston Terrier with one eye that was blue and the other was brown.

no.. it's called an "odd-eye" cat. It happens
I would only be concerned if he/she USED to have eyes the same color, and the color of one of them has changed.
If the cat is white, then do some simple-at home tests to see if it can hear. Alot of white odd-eye cats are deaf.

nope, some kitties just have different colored eyes, just like some people do. As long as there's no discharge and she seems to be seeing fine, I wouldn't worry too much. :-)
