Okay, there is this guy Chris I used to date. He was very jealous and just dramatic so we broke up and stopped talking.
However, the other night he asked me to go with him and his best friend, Alex, to a bonfire. At this bonfire, Chris told me he liked me and I politely but clearly said I only want to remain friends. Chris then proceeded to get very angry and leave me at the bonfire where I did not know anyone! I was stranded for 3 hours!
The problem is, I completely adore his best friend. I cannot stop thinking about him. But I'm afraid that Alex will remain loyal to his best friend especially since Chris talks to Alex about me all the time. I have no way of communicating to Alex via telephone except through Chris, which Chris already thinks I'm fond of Alex (I am but never told him) I do not know Alex that well and I don't want to be a "stalker" by going out of my way to message him asking to hang out via myspace.
Any words of wisdom? Please!

No, I could not have just left because he was my ride.
And, I was not trying to "use" Chris and get to Alex, I just want to get to Alex period. I'm not looking for criticism, I'm looking for advice.

Obviously, as you found out, "Chris" does not care about you, dispite what he tells you. If someone really CARE about someone, he may be dissapointed in your response, but he won't leave you, exposing you to all kinds of danger - that fortunately didn't happen.
You also don't need his PERMISSION to date anyone, including his best friends. It is entirely between you and your new prospective friends. While it can create good amount of tention, if "Chris" didn't like it, it's his problem, not yours or your friends.
You don't owe Chris anything at all.

Wow you must have a lot on your mind!!!
This answer depends who you really are and same with the people around you!
If you think he's a really great guy then take him (Only if he wants you and isin't as loyall to his friend)
Or you could wait a while and just try to be nice to Chris and Alex but don't to far
Or you could be nice to them an find somebody else!!
There are a lot of great guys out there so don't just go for Alex
And if you ask and he dosen't want to just find somebody else
Hope this Answer helps you GOOD LUCK!!

Find another guy. If you pursue Alex, the drama queen will be in your life, every single stinking day and making you miserable and eventually you and Alex will end on bad terms.
Find someone else, there are plenty of guys out there.
Oh, and what happened to St. Alex over those 3 hours?

"Chris then proceeded to get very angry and leave me at the bonfire where I did not know anyone! I was stranded for 3 hours!"
You could have got up and left on your own.
As for Chris, if you want his friend you can find out his friends phone number WITHOUT USING Chris and pretending to like him just to get to his friend. I'm sick of girls like you using guys for whatever you want.

Sticky situation. If you don't care about Chris, then go for Alex. Maybe he's a bad friend and will take the bait. If not, well at least you tried. Good luck!

Go out of you way one time and if he dosen't respond then you will know that he isn't interested. But if you do it on myspace, give him a few days to get back, since we don't all check those everyday. Good luck.chris was a loser anyways, if he left you stranded. That's not a real manish thing to do.If he cared about you, he would have made sure you got home even if he eas angry with you.

Why the hell did you go to the bonfire with Chris in the first place if you're not dating him anymore???
I think YOU'RE the drama queen, not Chris. Maybe Alex should get his own phone.

I know it may be hard to hear, but I really believe it is best to let this one go. It isn't cool to come between friends. You don't want to be that kind of person.
If things are meant to happen between you and Alex, they will. If not, there are sooo many more fish in the sea, girl!
Peace be with you!
