When I sleep, my eyes are sometimes open a slit or more. My friends have told me this a few times. At sleepovers, they would try and talk to me after I was already asleep because they saw my eyes were open and they thought I was still awake. I was fast asleep and don't remember this at all. (not even seeing a blurry image) Another friend saw this on a long bus trip and thought I had had a seizure! The doctor has even given me medicine that seals my eyes shut at night. I've also tried wearing a sleep mask, but it sometimes feels like my eyes are "soffucating." It causes me to be a very light sleeper and I was just wondering if anyone has a similar idiosyncracy and could tell me Why this happens and what they do to get a good night's sleep.
