Almost any beach on Long Island. Long Island has almost 500 miles of beaches to choose from. In fact, in a recent survey, two out of the ten best beaches in the United States are on Long Island. Take the L.I.R.R., or the Hampton Jitney, or a cab, or phone a friend with a car.

DO NOT go to a beach in New York City. They are full of rocks and other junk in the sand. If you want a nice beach, take the LIRR or drive to Long Island. I personally like Robert Moses Beach, its just a little bit further than Jones. Fire Island Beach is really nice but thats even further out.

Jones Beach. Take the LIRR to Wantagh. Go downstairs and wait for the bus in front of the bicycle shop on Wantagh Avenue. Actually Robert Moses has cleaner water but Jones Beach is easier to get to. As far as Long Beach, you need a pass between Memorial and Labor Days unless you live in Long Beach. After Labor the beach is open to everyone.

Check out Long Beach on Long Island. It's beautiful! And the Long Island Rai Road goes out there.
