How many pounds of luggage can I carry in American Airlines to London (From San Fran to London via New York). I think I'm allowed 2 suitcases but not sure how many pounds. Also since there is a domestic flight involved as well, is the weight restriction the same for both. Thanks.

The American Airlines limit is 40lbs for carry-on and 50lbs for checked bags. You can check heavier bags from 51 to 70lbs by paying $25 extra per bag. Try to pack light. Remember, the more stuff you pack is the more stuff you'll lug with you through airports, trains, etc. I spent 10 days in Italy with carry on bags only by packing clothes that coordinate together (e.g., I packed shirts that looked okay with jeans, khakis and shorts. Rather than packing dress shoes and casual shoes, pack one pair that can be used in both situations...like loafers for guys.). You'll be able to fit more shirts if you roll them rather than fold them. Also, it's easier to visit a laundry-mat once during your trip and re-use your clothes rather than lug an extra suitcase containing 50lbs of dirty laundry. Have a great trip!

I think its 50 pounds per piece of luggage and you're allowed two pieces, you have to pay for the excess. Just flew New York Zurich direct same airline.

That depends on your ticket, First Class, Business Class and Club Class can carry much more than Economy Class.

Your maximum suitable wager is to the two call the airline or circulate to their cyber web internet site. the two way, they are going to inform you precisely what the burden regulations are, and what you're constrained to so some distance as carry-on products. plenty extra useful than to get to the airport, purely to be certain your bags are too heavy.
