STRANGE...I was gonna ask a question like this...but couldn't figure out how to phrase it...I DO think things happen for a reason...Like a wake-up call....

Sort of. But that reason may simply be based on a statistical probability, as in the radioactive decay of a uranium atom. The reason for the decay is instability of the nucleus, but there is no reason whatever for why it decides to pop the alpha when it does -- the process is absolutely random.

Yes. I believe that some are God's reasons and some are our reasons. For instance, if someone decides to have a child out of wedlock, the reason is because they decided to have premarital sex, but God ordained us to wait until marriage. So we must differentiate our reasons and God's reason. Does that make sense?

Sure seems that way sometimes, but then if you say there was a reason for a calamity to strike; no. I believe it happens, people suffer, then God takes the calamity to show us He is there to help us through it. I mean, He doesn't cause it, but uses it.
