With all do respect to the first person answering all Christian religions say both. The difference is the Apostles (which was not written by Martin Luther because the APostle's Creed is actually the oldest and first Christian Creed dating back to biblical times.). Anyway the difference is the Apostle's Creed is an individual statement of belief being with I believe.... The Nicean Creed from the council of nicea laid down what the Christian community as a whole believed and states We Believe.... One a persoinal profession one a community profession

oh! oh! I know. Well, Im not a Christian, but I've heard both Creeds plenty of times. They DO mention hell, the part where Jesus "descends to the underworld" actually if I remember right it actually SAYS "descended to HELL for 3 days".
They got the concept of hell from the Zoroastrians, if I remember right this was the first religion to really turn the underworld into a burning fiery pit of eternal torture. Judaism never adopted this concept, but kept reincarnation instead (which the Nicene Council removed for Christianity).

The Apostles Creed includes a line that says Jesus "descended into hell" (or "to the dead", depending on your interpretation). It likely did not mean that popularized place of eternal torment.
The thing that suprises me about the Nicene Creed is that it requires you to believe in Pontius Pilate but not in the devil.

The traditional version of the Apostles Creed does mention Hell.
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting the question but I'm pretty sure both creeds mention it. But even if they didn't I don't think either of them are attempting to encompass every belief in Christianity.

Hell is not a place, it is an event that has not happened yet.
